Plastic pitches are shite, but with the Crawley game called off and the rain bucketing down here it’s probably saved the day.
Would be interesting to see what length of time that £1.4m has been lent to the club over. I believe he's at least part owned the club since at least the mid 2000s so not really an enormous amount over a long length of time.
Neither keeper has covered themselves in any glory for both goals but that’s a cracking finish by Pearce.
Definitely been cagey for us. Was fearing the worst after Braintree scored but a goal out of nothing has gave us momentum for the rest of the half. If they keep pinning in our midfielders it'll be a long 45 minutes, as soon as we got a yard we looked threatening.
Just got back in and found out Braintree not getting steamrollered and Pearce has scored for Worthing. Settling in for the 2nd half. Just seen the Pearce goal. Keeper got suckered in to moving from his angle and opening the goal up, poor on his part. Coll finish from Pearce, showing you don't always have to break the net to score. Composed finish for sure.
And a demonstration of why I hate these plastic pitches. Braintree on the attack, player on the wing catches his foot on the pitch. Looks serious and being carried off on a stretcher.
What a goal, tremendous finish in any game. 3-2 Braintree! What a way to open your account at any club! 3-3 Worthing hit straight back and another assist from Pearce!
