Pay on the day too so should bump it up to 1,200 ish. Some of my mates up there already, rest of us going up on the first train from Temple Meads tomorrow morning
Bournemouth away sold out. Just over 1,300 I think. Steady that for a Friday night TV game on the South Coast.
I'm looking forward to Reading at the weekend, we'll play nice football, loads of shots and go on to draw/lose. I've not been for years, do they play this when the teams walk out? I hope so. I know it's a golden oldie but I totally understand what it means to be a Reading fan after that.
Possibly the lowest away attendance figures of the season will be around just 200 Posh tipping up at Cardiff with their vaccine certificates to hand for tonight's 6 pointer , remember more of us at Ninian Park in Division 4 in the 80's .
Midweek that is a great following to the big smoke. Looking forward to my trip to Boro tomorrow, glad that Gibson has sorted the problem out with Mel, at least it allows Derby as a club to move on, as it was Mel and not Derby as a club who caused this, now lets enjoy the game tomorrow.
855 Hull City Fans at Derby on Tuesday night. I was very impressed with Derby's home support, sang all game!
Thanks for the feed back mate, i use to live on the east coast Hornsea and work for Yorkshire Electricity in Clough Road and know alot of Hull fans, they have always respected Derby as a club, been to many away games at Hull, always enjoyed a night out in Hull as well, good pubs, and also a nice cheap day out. After Sheffield the best city in Yorkshire.
1300 sold for Barnsley today, with tickets available there. Not bad so far for a rearranged (twice) game.
Great away support from the Rams losing 4-1, but still supporting the team till the end, Boro also giving it a go, good atmosphere, enjoyed my day out.
1,990 Stoke at Forest today. Made some decent noise too at times. Excellent piss taking from both sets of fans when each's second went in.
Went there on a Tuesday night about 20 years ago there was about 150 tops I know we are doing well but our away support so far this season has been first class
Amazing the state of the game today. Allows such a small, tinpot club to buy its way into the Premier League......AND be delusional that they have first class attendances. smh yet again at the FA and EFL.
Bit harsh and heat of the moment response above. As a Luton fan Im obv fine with smaller Clubs doing well at this level and punching above their weight against a lot of large fat cumbersome less well run Clubs. But it should be monitored and done the right way. Being well run, financially smart, streamlined and a top to bottom team spirit combined with work ethic. Not off the back of a plaything for a Billionaire and off the back of paralisingly unfair parachute payments that allow you a free pass at sidestepping FPP. For me Bournemouth are just another Derby. Trying to make their way to the Prem at the expense of others. But they are (prob) within the rules if they make it this or next season. So its the suits at the top of our game at fault, not the clubs that take advantage. **** the FA. And the Football League.
I've been going away fairly regularly for 20 odd years. Our current away support is first class by our historical measure of away attendances. Thats the point. A lot of the away following is young as well, whereas the home games are dominated by oldies clutching their werthers. If that's still tinpot then fine, but few other clubs have the hours of road to cover that we do. I mean how many clubs do Luton have within a 2-3 hour radius? That's the minimum travel time for us bar a couple of south coast neighbours. Over 800 for a 12 hour round trip yesterday ffs.
