Big clubs who cares.
The only fans that are obsessed are are either wanabe big clubs or Man U fans that want to put down Liverpool/City. Oh and some Arsenal fans for some reason.

What about BIG FOOTBALL? Big clubness just doesn't matter, Sunderland fill stadia because the've got lots of fans, but so has Shef Weds. Blackburn have loads of cash but r not big.

I went to see Roma v Milan Last year. 80K Roma fans turned up 2 hours before kickoff and went mad. Big event, big atmosphere, big football, nothing like the prem.

How about this criteria

CLUBS WITH BIG HEARTS

1. Big aspirations
2. Play football not business
3. Respect for fans and vice versa
4. Want to win
5. Loyal (local) fanbase through the generations, through the bad times

Yes... but you have to admit that both culbs have been much better than they are now. They still have some world class players but they are both over-rated due to their histories...

P.S. That was also Liverpool of the 90's but now under the management of Boggle-eyed frenchboy we're back to our winning ways!

i think neilfan's criteria is far better, but keeping the good players is very important. as long as the football is good and fair and exciting(this does rule out a few clubs), im not complaining. unless we lose that is.

never be as big as us, you'll never be as big as us!!! id like to see ya find 70 odd thousand fans now. i bet if we had an 80,000 seater we would sell out a lot of games! Newcastle has more money, buy's expensive players, which is nescesary in today's game and we have one of the biggest fan bases in the country, i think it is third jus behind man u and liverpool!! in terms of finance we made as much money as arsenal last season who were in the champions league! Admitedly we are goin through a bit of a bad patch on the pitch but this wont last, we are waiting to be awoken and this will hapen within the next 3 years or so!
