Second of two games in five days against Lancashire clubs, this surely can't end in us dropping points against lowly opposition again can it? Not sure whether Tesche, Fabbrini or Donaldinho will play a part in this so expect Sir Gary to play Luka the Jutka up top on his own with Che just behind him. Got to win these type of games for the sexy disco promotion bus to keep rolling. I can see us winning this one 8-0.
Strange one yesterday a 2-0/3-0 scoreline wouldnt have flattered us however if Blackburn nicked it with Emnes it also wouldnt have surprised me they created little but Emnes did look a danger. Can't believe Coyle took him off didn't see him pick up a knock or anything? I thought big Davey Davies was superb some great tackles. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Am led to believe Emnes picked up an injury otherwise would have been a bizzare substitution to make as he's been one of our most influential players the last few games. As for the result, no real qualms from me (apart from obviously wanting my team to do well that is), we didn't create enough so fair play to Birmingham. Some top work being done there with not a lot of money floating around. Meanwhile, our owners believe that our recent performances and results show that we can be very competitive in this league so you know, no need to panic have they even looked at the table???
Personally am inclined to agree with them for the first time ever - enough in recent performances not to be overly worried. Think you'll be fine!
Time will tell but good to hear that from someone who isn't as close to the team and has seen them play.
I dont see where they get that from tbh I said it at the ground on Saturday on paper this Blackburn team are decent and a mid table outfit but this season you've been terrible, I think you could be battling at that end all season there isnt enough around Emnes and Graham to see you through and in my opinion that is criminal but whilst you have clueless owners that might not change. The way the away end turned on Coyle after the sub was a big surprise for me it seemed the whole end would have been happy if he just resigned onnthe spot. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Sean what are your feeling towards Rowett now? Told you it was far too early for the level of criticism that you were giving him! Tbf he got it wrong against Preston but his substitutions vs Sheff Wed were a stroke of genius! Having said that had Nuhui's header gone in they would have been considered foolish! Like I said about the Wigan game it's fine lines and the end result doesn't away dictate how wise a decision is!
The bloke has been doomed from the start with his Burnley connection, it was a confusing appointment at the time and it goes to show how out of touch the people running the club are with the fans. I do agree that what we've got on paper is enough to see us through this season but there's so much wrong with the club that it doesn't make a difference whatever happens. Until these clowns are history the decline will only continue.
Agree on paper we should be ok but we have lacked decent supply in many games. Conway is our best outlet in midfield but prob had one of his quieter games at the weekend. Regarding Coyle, to be fair the team and manager have had great support, esp at home but I guess he always had to have a good start as he def wouldn't have been the 1st choice of many Rovers fans, not just for his Burnley connection but also his record away from there. It's a tough job already without that baggage! Do you think you'll sustain your good start then?
I know exactly how you feel in regards to clueless owners at the time we were laughed at for having an owner in Jail/Under House Arrest however it actually played out for the better he had no involvement and couldnt come anywhere near England let alone BCFC. I've watched him play before and he's been a stand out member I think our midfield on Saturday were very good and from a Blues fans point of biew i'd like to think Conway was kept quiet due to our performance as opposed to his. Yeah I think its always something that fans can fall back on if the manager has some sort of history with the enemy and I think this was certainly the case on Saturday. Is there any further news on Emnes up to this point? I would like to think that as a squad we have learnt from passed mistakes and that we are now more mature and developed in this league to be able to be more competitive. Rowett recently said that he takes responsibility for the January transfer window and think he over strengthened and caused his own selection problems so this year if we are in and around the mix and the take over has gone through I don't see any reason why we cant challenge.
As far as Emnes goes I haven't heard anything other than he's taken a few knocks and had to go off injured - the hope is he is fit after the international break. You're probably right about Birmingham shackling Conway well. Best of luck with the takeover, hope it all works out well for you.
