From what I've seen of them, and I've seen plenty, it was a pretty damn good description, so what's not to like ? Most of them ARE unwashed leftie scum, and workshy benefit scroungers to boot.
And I know a lot of them, too. And those I know are at least hard working, family friendly people who aren't simply what you call them. Anyway, calling football fans "scum" isn't my vocabulary unless they're mass murder, war criminals etc. But if it pleases you. I wasn't close enough to them yesterday to "detect" their body odor, so I can't say if they were unwashed or not. btw: Please quote my post correctly. In the red marked sentence I put an emoji at the end to show that I wasn't serious in my "Shame on you" to Phil. Sometimes a missing piece of the quote gives a false impression. And I learned something, too. Lefty, as I wrote it, means Linkshänder not Linker as you meant it because that's leftie. I've stored this now in my brain and will never forget it
I always delete emojis from replies. I've visited St Pauli many times, I know the area, I've seen the people, it's a slum. The club is a banner for far left politics, for all that I despise. I can assure you that calling opposing fans "scum" in Britain is pretty much normal, stupid as that may be.
And I can assure you that calling people scum is not normal and not just in the UK but in every single country on this planet. Have a word with yourself pal, you're full of hate. Well done St Pauli.
Oh stop being a total f#ckwit, I'm from Sheffield and United and Wednesday call each other scum every day of the week. Give your f##king head a wobble.
Sometimes quoting without the original emojis gives a false impression of how it was meant that's what I meant. In my case the "Shame on you" without the behind it gives the impression that I was serious about it to Phil (and I wasn't) The politics aside and the area, too, but you do know that St.Pauli fans are coming from all over Hamburg and beyond not only from the small St.Pauli district. And calling them all "scum, left leaning and unwashed" is simply wrong. No generalizations, please. Hey, Vanni, long time no seen here in the Bundesliga thread....."you unwashed leftie scum" (©zippy)
it looks like that he's really already on the verge of being sacked after just 2 matches (plus a cup match) kicker.de reports today that there will be a decision made after the transfer window is closed on monday evening. Chances that he will be already sacked are maybe 50:50. Tbh it's not Ten Hag's fault that now nearly half of the title winning team is playing in the Premier League (after Wirtz Frimpong and Xhaka now also Hincapie). The replacements for these key players are not integrated fully yet (and how could they in this short time?). If they really sack him so soon than also the sporting director should be sacked imo. I didn't understand the move for Ten Hag in the first place. Sandro Wagner, assistant of the Bundestrainer, (who is now at Augsburg) was available back then (especially as Rudi Völler in this role as DFB Sport Chef knows him really well and knows of his wish to coach a club team. But maybe they thought at Leverkusen he was too inexperienced for coaching a Champions League team with nearly now experience at top club level (did they forget that when they hired Xabi Alonso back then he hadn't any experience in coaching a top club, either?) Anyway, will be interesting to see what happens in the next few days at Leverkusen. They can't sack a coach after just 2 league matches, can they? source: Kein Statement der Bosse: Ten Hag in Leverkusen vor dem Aus (No statement from the bosses. Ten Hag is on the verge of being fired in Leverkusen.) edit: One day later and they already sacked him...before the transfer window closes this evening. I thought they'd wait until that. Anyway...
Was always going to be difficult to take the reins after Xabi transformed the club. Add to that the departures of Wirtz & Frimpong, then you've got a near impossible job. Don't know what benefit sacking Ten Hag would bring. Far too early to sound the fire alarm just yet!
I think everybody who paid attention to ten Hag's United were surprised he'd been able to land on his feet at Leverkusen. The guy is a prick. He is not a good football coach. He should have gone back to his comforts in the Eredivise.
I'm amazed. regardless what I think of Tin Pot that's hardly giving him much of a chance. I mean I've read they lost from 1-0 up and then drew having been 2-0 and 3-1 up, but it happens - did Liverpool not "let slip" a 2-0 lead against 10 men already.....? (albeit they did win in the end) lost a few key players in the transfer window, two to Liverpool, and gained a fair few. they'd be hard pressed to wrest the title from Bayern so surely that gives a little time for a new manager to settle in, the new signings likewise, and get rid if top four is slipping away wonder where he might end up next
ex-Denmark Coach Kasper Hjulmand becomes new Bayer Leverkusen coach Nachfolger von ten Hag: Hjulmand neuer Bayer-Trainer After the more grumpy ten Hag, Bayer gets now again another "Mr.Nice Guy" (like Xabi Alonso). Let's see how long this lasts. Hjulmand already coached a Bundesliga club before, 2014/15, Mainz 05. But after only 22 pts from 21 matches he was sacked.
Never heard of him. He inherited a threadbare squad compared to last season. Please be patient with that one, Bayer. Mind you if it's their deal to splash millions for 2 days of the work, fair enough, they have the cash.
Was Denmark Coach from 2020-2024 when he resigned. Biggest achievement with them was reaching the semi-final of the Euro 2020/21 (which tbh I'd never have expected). First big match already in 2 days. In the Friday evening match Bayer will host Eintracht Frankfurt, who had a very convincing start in the new season with 2 wins and 7-2 goals. I, for myself, will be happy when this 3rd matchday is over because HSV will have to play in the Allianz Arena. Hopefully not a "Wiederauflage" of the "recent" results in the Allianz Arena (recent in quotes, you know why ) edit: Just checked it. Our last away win in Munich was 2007 (our last home win was in 2009). My youngest daughter just came into school, meanwhile she has graduated from university. As time goes by.
