Just watched the highlights. Sexy goal by Jota. Szoboszlai is everything which hoped that Keita would be, & more. Elliott creating chances, Gakpo could have scored a couple & also read Endo had a good game. Important for the Japanese to have thay after the start he had. Reckon it was a question of confidence coming to a big club. Quansah continues to impress. Nice show of strength & awareness for the third goal.
Sexy (and it seems the Szoboslai guy is doing well so far in Liverpool, right?) I read that Manchester City lost against Newcastle? Is this even allowed? Leipzig will have to pay for that loss next Wednesday in the CL, I assume.
Gotta love a back heel. & it was executed nicely. As for Szoboszlai. Lot of us didn't even know anything about him. Most of the Bundesliga fans said he was good only in attacking positions & a bit inconsistent, but by God what a start he has had as an eight.
Picked a team to get beat and got his wish, played well first half with no end product and Newcastle stepped it up 2nd half, poor form defence for the goal, no injuries and onto Wolves.
Endo was superb last night ,he must of covered every blade of grass and broke up at least 70% of Leicesters play. I really think there's a very useful player there who will only improve the more he's utilized as a DM. Sobz just looks like he was born to wear that red shirt and the goal he smashed into the roof of Leicesters net was just plain obscene. Loving the link up play with our two Dutch lads ,it looks like that partnership could unlock the tightest of defenses and so it proved last night with Coady seemingly on a personal mission to stop everything we threw at Leicester.
Cheeky sod, we're massive mate.... Quite a few teams I'd rather have had than Ipswich to be honest, imagine even if they go slightly weaker (not sure if they would) they'll still be abng up for it Full strenght for this please. Might be able to make the 22.43 home, too
Cheeky from Jota. Loved his celebration.......there wasn't one. Was kind of i do that all the time in training so it is no big deal.
Do you remember John Barnes scoring a similar goal v Crewe in the 90's in the FA Cup. Love it. One of my fave players ever is Digger.
I think that it is better to have as many games as possible on each day. Thursdays have fewest games on each weekday.
Exeter away on the Tuesday night then Plymouth away in the league on the saturday over 1000 miles in a few days for us mad Boro fans
At home hopefully. Did well to get through that - Exeter really up for it and two great goals from Trevitt
