We always go out in round one and I think we’ll treat this as an extra psf to get some game time into players where needed. Rovers win all day long.

Have to care about the Carabao this time around because we’ve got Mansfield, so the game will actually mean something. I’ll be fine with any pretty much any result as long as we don’t embarrass ourselves (not that I have any reason to believe we will, but anything can happen in these types of games).

The bookies have us as faves, which I don’t entirely agree with, it should be a tighter game than the odds suggest imo.

When the draw was made I was pretty excited about the tie, but the closer we get the more stressed I’m going to be I think.

It's a week on Tuesday, just in case anyone was thinking it's after the first round of League fixtures like most years.

That's not the preliminary round mate. The only preliminary round matches were/are Barnet v Newport (which Newport won on pens last week) and Accrington v Oldham. The rest are Round One fixtures.

Apologies. My error. I always get something wrong every season. Thanks for correction.

No worries at all Alfie, no need to apologise. I only know because I was reading up on it the other day.

Trouble is though you have to score to win and, like last season, we don't look like scoring.

6 changes for us, 9 for Stanley.

Leake isn't involved after limping off on Saturday, but neither is Daniels, hopefully just rested...

At least one new signing for us in the next 48 hours according to local press, much needed.

Waters and Kay can't even get a start tonight, the writing is on the wall for them

Too much non-league stink on us and Barnet to be allowed into the Carabao proper.

It seems like Accy is playing well together, even though they are not in the starting eleven.
Credit to the coaches, I believe their wages for players today are probably less than those of Oldham players.
At least it's encouraging for the club chairman who will be stepping down next year.

Great point away at MK on sat, but last night was a shambles. As I said yesterday I'm not overly bothered about progress but would have been nice to stay unbeaten for a while. That performance stank the house out.

In desperate need of players now. Another injury, this time to the stand in goalie, and our second string is questionable.

Tbf we are far from finished in this window and I think mellon is fully aware of that, but the performance last night stank of a team thrown together quickly. Need to correct that on sat, and start brightly

I wonder if the yellow stain will sack Clough on Tuesday :)

With the rigged draw it’s impossible to get a money spinning tie until the third round I believe and chances are most clubs would just get knocked out in round 2 by a L1 or champ team.

Our game is very winnable but with the above in mind I’d rather we rotated most of the team.

Stagsnet an absolutely brilliant read tonight, they’re shitting themselves about Tuesday

A few have changed their tune from when the draw was made… confidence must be on the floor
