You'll have to point me in the right direction because I can't find anything that says otherwise.

    Here's what I said.

I will rephrase that for you. I think we can get through the first leg at home without losing.

When TV covered the war in Iraq ,was that loud enough for you ? Or did you complain that the shelling didn't sound as audible to those who could only watch from their settee ? I have a simple rule of thumb about football and it's either be there and drink the occasion in or miss out and keep your grid f*cking closed when you've been less fortunate and only experienced it through a box in your living room.

I think he was just trying to be too kind. I've rewatched it, and with the closer angles and slow motions, it does look like he touches the ball twice, but not enough to move the ball, your talking a millimetre before it is hit with his right foot. No way Alvarez would know that his left foot touched the ball because it was that quick.

For Spain - the result is probably the best as Real Madrid have a better chance of winning the tournament than Atleti do, and at this stage, you have to consider the UEFA coefficients.

But my heart does break for Atleti, as they have been one of the best teams in Europe for most of the past 6-7 years and keep falling short against their rival.

Huh? When was this? Even the year you won the European Cup you lost a game v FK Vojvidina.

In fact the longest unbeaten run by Celtic in the EC/CL seems to be about 6/7 games :shrug

1967 was your debut season, I didnt know that.

Moving forward - I don't see Arsenal having a real chance against Real Madrid. Sorry - but unless Real's form goes to real bad and Arsenal's starts to score more and win domestically, I just don't see it happening.

    Paris will beat Aston
    Barca will best BvB
Bayern and Inter is a toss up IMO.

I can't see this NOT ending in an El Clásico final, which will be unbelievable to watch.

People give this real madrid side too much respect. They are not a great side and definitely beatable by arsenal. Arsenal have a very good defence and even though the attack isn't great against low blocks they won't be coming up against that. Real scraped into a final last year and scraped through the knockouts this year. Of course they are better now mbappe has settled but average la liga teams are taking points. It took 2 wonder goals and luck to get past atletico so they are not very creative. If arsenal have the right mentality it's 50 50

Atleti are a top side, whereas Arsenal just had to go up against PSV.

Real have way too much top talent, and while they struggle sometimes, they still win. I would be very surprised if it wasn't Barca/Real for the CL Final this year.

I think people give Arsenal too much credit this year, as despite their first leg against PSV, their attack is just atrocious.

    Unbearable not unbelievable ;)

Horror for German football fans, a final in Munich with an all Spanish final? Nah, "Apage Satanas" :D

Too many assholes in it for my liking (except Hansi Flick ;) ), wouldn't watch it

Ha - Flick has Barca looking fantastic at the moment.

Seeing Real - with their Big 3 playing Barca with their young studs, plus all of the normal hatred between the teams would be a must watch.

I'd rather see that than Atleti play, who are so incredibly good, but play unwatchable football too much.

It will probably be a similar game to the atleti one in terms of arsenal sitting deep alit of the time. Atleti are mentally stronger than arsenal though and that's the only reason I see arsenal not doing as well. Anyway this real arent prime barca or 2017 real so I wouldn't be the slightest bit shocked if arsenal get through.

I don't think we'll ever see anything close to peak Barca (2011), which ironically enough they won the CL by defeating Real Madrid.

I may be wrong, but I just cannot see Arsenal somehow winning this matchup. The only, ONLY, concern I'd have is that Real are still in all competitions, whereas Arsenal are out of all and thus can rest more.

Terrible performance from Lille all round really. The warning signs were there in the 1st half but Meunier (ex-bvb & psg) gifted his old club a pen when he stupidly but his hand on Guirassy's shoulder. Didn't see Beier's 2nd but Lille didn't even threaten to equalise and that was a very bad Dortmund side which shows how disappointing Lille's performance was.

Will support bvb against Barça though. Reckon Inter will take Bayern. Fancy them to make it to the final against the winner of PSG/Real (we all know it's going to be Real but hey ho).
