The big teams rest players but still have quality all over the pitch whereas everyone else doesn't..

So the FA Cup draw has come out.

    Fulham away for us.

Local game so take a decent following to a nice ground.

Probably be well beaten as Marco Silva will be very keen to get one over us.

Some great draws for the lower league clubs, but no stand out draws for championship clubs
Charlton at home for us, expect us to make changes

    We got Bournemouth away

At least this one won't finish a draw.

Happy to play a local game v Harrogate, not sure we've ever played in a competitive game before. Be a lot of people with mixed loyalties in the away end.

 safe to say we'd have both preferred something a bit different.

Hope our ticket office can cope with the demand for Charlton at home.

Our game against Charlton has been called off due to the weather, at least they've done it early enough that the Charlton fans havent already started theri journeys, but we really need to invest in the ground and get undersoil heating

That was painful today. Poor atmosphere, woeful crowd and a pretty uninspiring game but Stoke robbed the win imo.

    Did you watch it? @SamB_SCFC @Delilah @Deacon27

Pretty fair summary. We played quite well by our low standards in the first half but second half onwards we were poor and we scabbed the win in the end.

But it worked out ok I suppose. We probably needed the win more than you for confidence in our relegation battle and to get Robins' first win on the board. And you could do without the distraction and injury risk in your promotion push.

And this means that we win our little 3 match series 2 wins to 1. The stripey deck chair trophy is ours. With our underachieving history we'll take that .

I missed the first 10 minutes. I thought we played well 1st half but needed that 2nd goal. As I said in the domestic cups forum 2nd half was different and I could only see 1 winner and it wasn’t us! Good confidence booster for us and Ennis to get that winning goal. Pretty crap game as you say. Looked bloody cold as well

Those were my thoughts before the game tbh, and I think of most Sunderland fans, hence the disinterest in the game.

Last thing we need is risking more injuries playing extra games in a competition we're not going to win. I'm really not arsed we went out.

As you say, it's the opposite for you, Stoke could do with a bit of a cup run for confidence. Hope you get a decent draw, good luck.

Red & white deckchair trophy winners, you’ll never sing that… :D

Yeah, I thought you were the better side first half and deservedly went in ahead but the tide turned after HT and we really should’ve won in 90 minutes. Even in ET I thought we had much more of the play, but I get the feeling the players were as bothered about losing as much as us fans were

But yes it was absolutely bitter yesterday. Wish I’d stayed at home in front of the fire!!

Alese’s injury looked a bad one. Hope it isn’t too serious but might mean we need to get another LB in before the end of January.

Saves up a mid week trip to be beaten by you guys !

Just be 12:30 on the Saturday.

I was surprised West Brom and particularly Norwich were well beaten.

    Congratulations to Plymouth @Connor.

We actually played a worse team than usual v Fulham - would have struggled against a lot of Championship side let alone a very good top mid table one.
