Right before I go into hiding for the next few days (due to the sheer embarrassment of losing 3-0 to Cheltenham) I'll leave this thread behind for you all to get the piss taking out of your system! But don't worry I'll be back on Sunday afternoon once we've beaten Ipswich, and if we don't you can expect to see me sometime next year.
I won't count my chickens by laughing as you'll probably bounce back and beat us Sunday! Knew it was 2-0, but not 3-0. What happened? Did you have a weak side out or were just really poor and had an off day?
We started at a slow pace, obviously expecting a stroll, and when things didn't go our way we simply couldn't move up a gear. Chelts were probably worth maybe a 1-0 win.
What the hell is going on??? : First Norwich lose 3-0 at home to Cheltenham! Next Leicester lead Hull 4-1 in extra time! What's going on? And what next??? : Next you'll be telling me Sheff Wednesday won their derby recently!!! :
well i'm a happy chappy. we beat the donkey lashers 3-0. you all heed my warning and beware of dimitri popadopoulos. i tipped him for big things at bfc and now he's started scoring it seems. he'll do well here, mark my words.
Yes Grahame, that three goals for Papa in his last two games, one of those being for his national team. Our strikerforce is our strongest department says Stan; Grahame I still don't reckon Ian Moore is a striker...can someone tell him he isn't? He reminds me of Liam Robinson with a scouse accent and not such a limp wrist! I am at sixes and sevens here...dowe go with pure pace and throw in Papa and Moore? Or do we go for height and Papa (don't think it would suit his game) up front? I'd like Blake and Papa with Moore playing behind and Taylor on the bench to ruffle the feathers. Although I believe the Greece International manager plays him behind the front two as a player similar to Scholes as an attacking midfielder...except Papa is quicker. Seems the lads were right on this forum and never really lost any doubt that we'd pull together. We did. Sorry to hear about Norwich's result. We can sympathise with you, they beat us in the FA Cup I think it was last year! Only game our German/Greek/Italian keeper ever played and he was at fault for both their goals. Never played again : Somewhat surprised though. Didn't expect Stoke to lose or Bradford. Wimbledon did exactly what I thought they'd do to an awful Southend team.
ian moore ran his c**k off tonight, always does, but an out and out striker he is'nt, he's more suited to an attacking midfielder role. if only you could see how pappa and taylor link up pete i think you may change your mind on our strike force, they compliment each other very well. ideally i'd like to see i moore and blake in midfield as our play makers, weller going down the left and little or maylett on the right, defending i'd have to go for( from right to left) Mc Gregor, gnohere, davies, cox. i'd have brizzer ready on the bench to come into the defence or midfield if we needed him to. a very good game today and a lot of noise was made by both sets of supporters. i really have to mention how impressed i was at the amount of fans who travelled for blackpool. i would say there was more than 1500 made the trip and as an away support for a second division team that is excellent. they actually brought more to the turf than any of our opponents have this season. WELL DONE THE LASHERS ON YOUR SUPPORT. shame your teams crap.
Our loss even made the headlines on the Australian Football site that I visit! "Cheltenham fry Canaries"
That was the most pathetic, spineless performance I have ever seen, and this is my 11th season as a season ticket holder. Only 4 of our players seemed interested in the game, and 2 of them were subs (the 4 being Drury, Nielsen, Heckingbottom and Llewellyn). As I've said elsewhere, Iwan should be very, very worried about his place in the side. He's been a great servant for the club, but you cannot afford to miss the chances he has this season, had he scored after 10 minutes last night (put a header over from little more than a yard) the game would have been so different. I'm not exaggerating when I say he could have had 10 goals this season with the (easy) chances he's missed.
i'm pretty sure we'd have managed a point at least if he'd scored that chance against utd....it was a great save, but it still should have gone in
