Always seem to pick up point from yourselves, But we're struggling for goals despite our good play.

    1-1 draw again for me.

The bubble was pricked last night in readiness for a full on burst on Saturday.

    4-0 Colchester.

It's about time that we scored more than 1 goal in a game - 3-2 Colchester.

Usual display at Col U coming up, let in 3 goals which would shame a pub team and not get a decent shot on target. No positives to be taken.

This is getting stupid now. Why can't anyone beat us? We're not even that good.

    :Iagree
Think I'm going to have to continue staying away. As soon as I go we are bound to screw it up.
Unfortunately my 6 year old also thinks we will soon be in the champions league the way this is going

End to end (mostly our end), blood and guts, former players getting all the goals, relatively big crowd, poor ref, bit of handbags, stone wall penalty denied, history being made.... propper football. Well done Mr Slade and all concerned. On possession, it sounded like we were slaughtered but on goal chances, the reverse would appear to be true. Great game to listen to.

I've said this before, and one day I'll probably say it again, but that **** today was the WORST referee I have ever seen - he literally didn't have a clue. I can almost handle it if they make a decision and stick by it, even if it's wrong, but the one today was just guessing at most decisions. He'd look across to the lino, who'd stare back, neither knowing what to give, they'd both metaphorically shrug their shoulders and give whichever decision was the easiest/less potentially damaging. Disgraceful.

I do think the game was somewhat spoiled by that, but otherwise it wasn't a bad game, some decent football from either side. Orient looked like quite a good side and much better than the few times I saw them last year, looked a real threat going forward (with all of our ex-players...) and did quite a good job nullifying our attacking threat for large portions of the game. We had a stone-wall penalty waved away late on which would've probably made it 2-2, that would've been about the right result.

Least the ref was shocking both ways, Normally they just pick on one side. Felt we deserved a draw, But lack of goals is whats going to be our downfall this season.

I'm on the shitter before I go out to the pub so I'll keep it short for now.

Thought this was our first proper test of the season, all the other teams in this division didn't give us a game. Col U did, but we came out on top. It was fairly even though & I agree about the ref, he made some poor decisions for both, he gave Colchester 3 corners in about 5 mins all which blatantly weren't. They probably should've scored, had some pacey players I thought. Although we should've definitely added to the scoreline if Shaun Batt didn't miss that open goal!
