One of our owners just did an interview/podcast talking about the financial outlook of our club, and he mentioned that we approached Jack Barham about him returning to Maidstone. Jack was interested in returning, but we couldnt get close to the money Chelmsford were offering. To put things into perspective it was said that when he last played for us, he was on £750 a week, Chelmsford offered him over 1500 quid a week. We won't go over a grand a week so didn't stand a chance in signing him
Seems a bit unprofessional from your owner to reveal how much Chelmsford are paying players, not a great look that
The whole interview was rather bizarre and pretty unprofessional, but he's always been like this, so I'm not that surprised. For years now, hes been moaning about how clubs spend too much money, and we can't compete with them. He moaned about how he can't afford to fund the club any more and wants to sell, he even said there was some relief that we didn't win the playoff final.......that statement hasn't gone down well with the half of the fan base who wants him gone. Spasov looks good on paper. He was at Wembley watching. If he is half as good as Parrilon, then it will be a good bit of business.
Does have the ability to beat a man and get a cross in and shows the odd rare glimpse of a player. But my word he can not defend at all, and his positional sense is awful. He's odd in that he's not really dynamic enough to play as a LWB, but a complete liability in a back 4. Think we did have Denton here for a little bit a long while ago but you probably know more about him than I do, I couldn't tell you who's better
In his loan spell at Rochdale a few years ago it was obvious he had ability, and he certainly put a shift in when on the pitch, but he wasn't ready then for that level. Hope it works out for him.
Yeah, grapevine told me we were interested, but he’s EFLgrade, and we probably couldn’t have paid half his wage. All very quiet here, except, of course, TWs offspring signing a new deal. Hopefully he’s a late maturer….

We've signed Tahvon Campbell, 8 years after he last played for us. Don't know the contract details but he'll probably be off somewhere else after Christmas
