Morecambe finally signing a player that's been heard of and has quality. Suprised Nolan did nothing at Gillingham other than score one goal for them and against a team I won't mention.

i remember when we signed stockton when he hardly pulled up trees then we turned him into one of the leading forwards of league 1 and 2 but it seems like its only been us that got the best out of him

He's been good for us. Struggled for injuries a little bit mind, and I think he played like he had a lot on his plate this last year or so. Probably understandable with what's gone on.

As bendy said, he's actually quite a nice guy to talk to, but a lot of folk can change for the worse when they've got a drink in them and it sounds like he's no different. Keep him out of the pub and he should do ok.

Yeah I know plenty of people that are sound until they have a drink. Still, sounds like a class signing for us at this level

We’ve signed Vadaine Oliver last seen at Bradford, honking goal record in recent years, I’ll give him his fair crack of it.

Willing to give Grayson/Monks some slack on this, they’ve signed really well this season, DJ probably the only big disappointment so far.

Still need an attacking mid to play behind them.

Reid isn’t a target man,but that’s what he’s been doing the last few games.
Hopefully Oliver is that man & allows Reid to what he does best, getting in behind the defence.
And at least we’ll be back to playing 2 up front.

Vadaine Oliver is the type of forward we need but he's getting on and has about 3 goals in the last five seasons. On paper it's not a good signing but if he can draw defenders to him and put a shift in then it frees up other players to do the business.

Definitely need an attacking mid, someone who can dribble and it carry it as we don't really have that and under Grayson's conservative approach we need someone to create out of nothing.

We haven’t had that sort of midfielder since, well, the Stone Age.
This seasons is a carbon copy of previous seasons, but with different players.

Conn-Clarke? Could pools enter the race for him?

at least its a position you actually need by the sound of it, unlike us, York and FGR.

Nathan Ferguson’s agent plays another blinder as he signs for Hartlepool. Every now and then he has a decent game but overall languid if you are being kind or lazy otherwise.

He’s a midfielder that has the physical attributes and a decent range of passing, but can’t be arsed to run most of the time.

This was exactly what he was like at Maidenhead last season. He'd run the midfield in a game around once a month and would do nothing the rest of the time. Having him start every game when fit was a major factor in us going down last year.
