Craig Harrison's got a massive job on his hands, the Champions are in the relegation zone. Connah's Quay Nomads plunged into relegation battle after huge points deduction
Wow that's a big deduction. I noticed they weren't doing to well the other day when I had a look and saw that things might get worse. Shame for the fans.
the league has split for its phase 2, so Nomads only have to play the bottom 6 teams. they are 11 points off 7th place, which would then put them in a European playoff place (bizarrely!) i think they will be safe, as they have the best win rate of the rest of the teams in their group welsh premier league - Google Suche
The split is the same as Scotland, top 6 and bottom 6, remaining fixtures played out between the two sets. Quay will be fine, one of only two full time teams (alongside TNS) had a shit season without this deduction but they should be winning every game against the clubs in the lower half of the table.
they have secured their status in the Welsh Prem next season with some good end of season form, with Airbus returning for the first time in a few years to replace Cefn Druids Cymru Premier Table - Football - BBC Sport
they have bounced back after last years points deduction anyway, with a respectable 2nd place finish in sight, with an insurmountable target that TNS are setting. So at least they should have European football again next year
poor showing in Europe for all Welsh teams this summer, though Haverford West did manage to get a result at home, albeit too late due to aggregate score
