Unfortunately, despite all this mirth rightly directed at Everton, ultimately this punishment will equate to little more than a wet fart. And for all the talk of other clubs and legal action, that will fizzle into nothing and it will equate to no further punishment.

And that's assuming it stays at 10 points. I reckon it will end up being 6 once the appeal is complete. That decision has already been made one suspects.

This may seem like a silly question, but why was we charged with 1 charge straight off the bat, but City we’re allowed to reach 115?. Why wasn’t they charged the minutes they broke 1?.

Seems the Premier League were investigating City for four years before eventually deciding to charge them and refer it to the Independent Panel.

Ultimately the rules they've broken are mostly different. Everton have simply gone beyond the spending limits and that isn't exactly hard to prove. The only sticky part was that Everton provided mitigating circumstances.

I think the English powers in charge of the game stood back thinking that Uefa were going to punish city, but then to nobody's surprise they bottled it citing statutes of limitations that meant many of city's transgressions were too long ago to be punished.

In what world did UEFA "bottle" punishing City? They banned them for three years and it was only overturned on a technicality and that wasn't UEFA's decision. It was the CAS.

The end result of Uefa's investigation was pretty much no penalty against city, it took too long and they cocked it up anyway. Unless you're suggesting city committed no offences?

Assuming city were guilty, the Uefa investigation, if conducted properly and in good time, would have resulted in city being punished. However they made such a balls of it city were able to overturn the punishments at CAS.

You call a UEFA ban for two years "no penalty"? Of course I am not suggesting they didn't commit any offences. I am simply reminding you that UEFA did try to punish City. It was the CAS that overturned the punishment.

Manchester City banned from Champions League for two seasons
Manchester City have been banned from the Champions League for the next two seasons by Uefa and fined €30m (£25m) after they were found to have seriously misled European football’s governing body and broken financial fair play rules.

The severity of the ban from both of Uefa’s elite club competitions and the scale of the fine reflect how seriously Uefa’s FFP compliance bodies consider the club to have breached the rules and code of conduct.

I imagine going into McDonalds and ordering a cheeseburger would take less time for prepare and collect than 115 Big Mac meals.

I understand that, I just can’t understand how they got to 115 charges without being charged the minute they broke 1 rule, or 10 etc…

You know as well as the rest of us though that City will walk away smelling of roses from all 115. I'd be amazed if they end up with anything more than a trivial fine.

Maybe by the time they started investigating City they had already committed most of the stuff? Didnt someone say they have been investgating City for 4 years? yet the charges go back to over the last decade or so?

They'll get something that will barely effect them, 25 points deduction or some crap, which lets be honest will barely drop them out of the top 4/6 for a season.

Well they hid the facts and were only exposed by German sports mags getting leaks.

your sole charge is down to putting in a set of accounts and trying to get everything excluded once.

city are accused of falsifying records over 7 years and hiding all of their stuff.

the 115 charges are the tip of the iceberg.

there's money speculated to be going under the table that no taxman is seeing. that's why pep hit the roof when directly asked it a few years back.

    what to have a bet?

if city win the cl this year a 25point deduction will be applied in June.

thst will avoid any nasty shocks round being out of the cl.

they will then appeal it and get it reduced to 10 and still win the title after signing 500mil of players.
