They were arguably the biggest club in England not to win a major trophy. Now it's probably Fulham (only club in top 40 for top flight seasons not to win a major trophy). Albeit it's only subjective.
Well played Palace. Fantastic scenes and great to have a new winner. Happy for the fans on here. Can only see them building on this. Great for the league to have a new name a couple of new names on the domestic cups this season.
I still cannot explain what happened yesterday. The absolute dream of seeing my Football team win a major trophy for the first time ever and now I also get to see my team play in Europe. The messages have been incredible to read. It makes the hundreds of pounds it cost me to come home from Germany worth it. This is for all Palace fans who attended yesterday the ones who are no longer with us who waited for 120 years for this to happen. Crystal Palace FA Cup Winners I'll never tire of writing that.
Boys I thought us winning the playoffs and seeing Prem football was as good as it got for Palace. On cloud 9.
I was expecting numerous Palace supporters to wander into my work tonight so I could congratulate them. Instead it was quite a few congratulating me on AFC Wimbledon reaching the L2 playoff final. Obviously Palace supporters are still pissed.
Why would we be fuming? Great to see different teams winning trophies. With us winning the League Cup, Liverpool winning the league and now Palace winning the FA Cup we can clearly see football is healing.
No middle as lower was sold out - which my mate doesn't believe! My two mates i'm going with are lower so will try and get down there anyway. Love it. Substitute AFCB for Palace and getting to the PL for winning the FA cup and could have written that myself in May 2015. Same with family saying we'd never get to the top tier - 'That's the way it is' etc etc.
Good comment mate. Those having a go haven't got a clue. It's good to see lots of black Palace supporters just like it's good to see plenty of South Asian fans at Leicester or Bradford instead of just being at Anfield or Old Trafford.
There were lots of ladies there as well, which I thought was really brave and courageous in the circumstances.
When Crystal Palace supporters unveiled a giant tifo during the club's historic FA Cup final win against Manchester City on Saturday, two fans inside Wembley froze on the spot. Seeing themselves displayed on the banner were brothers Nathan and Dominic Wealleans, who were pictured celebrating in disbelief with their father in 2011. The family were celebrating a thunderous 35-yard Darren Ambrose strike, as the Eagles beat Manchester United in the 2011 league cup quarter finals. After the brothers' father Mark lost his life to cancer in 2017, the image has become a symbol of lost loved ones for Palace fans. That is absolutely quality by the fans.
Beautiful I was in the crowd with them that night at Old Trafford. To beat Man Utd on their own turf was unheard of. Incredible to think how far we've come since, and we've done it the right way too.
Naturally I was absolutely dog sick about the result on Sat but was glad it didn’t go to ET as I had a date at a pub in Hackney at 7 with a bird I am quite keen on. I will give a begrudging congrats to the likes of @Kirby and the generally sound Palace fans on here, mind. I hope you choke on your champers, but the magic of this competition is something else.
