Very happy/sad story from this Palace fan who rang in to Talk sport... https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/QjoJ7mdvT6 Tear jerker
ITV had a manager cam for the final and Pep was literally spitting at times. Think even Glasner was worried Henderson was going to get sent off .
And another plus from Palace's best day in the Fa Cup is the tv companies don't need to keep wheeling out that bloody Pardew goal from 1990 (or his dance in the last final).
Not afraid to admit I just finished watching the game back and cried my eyes out at full-time. The outpouring of emotion when that final whistle went was like nothing I've seen or experienced before. We finally did it All those trips to Crewe, Grimsby, the Withdean etc. over the past 30+ years were worth it for this one magic moment. It wasn't that long ago we were losing 0-4 at home to Scunthorpe (who were playing in the National League North this season). I've just checked and that was less than a year before Steve Parish took over the club. Unbelievable. Our trophy parade won't be anywhere near as big as Liverpool's, Newcastle's or even Leeds', but you can bet it'll be just as joyous and emotional, if not more. It's entirely possible this is the only major trophy we'll win in our lifetimes, so if Saturday and last night are anything to go by, everyone will be absolutely going for it on Monday. I'm so grateful I got to experience something so special alongside my Mum and my childhood mates. If you'd told us when we were sitting in Year 8 Geography comparing our best Palace XIs that we'd be winning the FA Cup and qualifying for Europe 30 years later we would've thought you were mad. It's even sweeter after losing the two previous finals and a semi-final only three years ago. We looked destined to be one of those clubs who get close but never quite over the line, but now we'll be in the history books forever, with the best memories possible. Football
Thanks. I know I said nothing wrong. Should definitely be more black men who live in the area of palace be at the games. I'm sure plenty support the team just don't go to the stadium for whatever reason
I remember Nick Hancock on Room 101 back in 1999 mentioning the Autoglass Trophy and basically ridiculing it
Interesting fact about all the winners of this season's finals at Wembley. The supporters of Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Sunderland, Charlton and AFC Wimbledon were all sat* in the west side of the stadium. *Not that we sat.
Just need to confirm which end Oldham fans sat in for a potential clean sweep. I can't be bothered looking myself, so if someone else could do the work that would be magic.
Hopefully won’t come to this for Palace . Crystal Palace 'could be THROWN OUT of Europa League as club urgently meet Uefa'
I took one look at the outlets who 'reported' this and continued happily with my day. It's just procedure like every other club with an owner/investor who has stakes in multiple teams. John Textor doesn't have any major control at Palace anyway so it's a nothing story created purely for clicks. Still, if it gets the hopes up of Brighton fans again I'm all for them running it
Yes seen this before with the Red Bull teams for example so did wonder if there was any real threat .
