    Probably. Only Buffon can match him for longevity, but Maldini was THE best for basically his entire career, whereas Buffon was usually one of the best.

    The only asterisk to this victory was the fact Milner wasn't present. Perhaps people see his peak as a central midfielder though?

    I actually disqualified Milner from this because I don't think the forum is ready to accept that in less than one season as a left back he has climbed the mountain to be the greatest of all time.
