Lost for words really, but a manager isn't bigger than a club so we'll just have to see what happens this week and what their approach is going to be. Clearly this was pre-planned so you'd imagine the new gaffer has players ready to go. Apparently he gets announced tomorrow and he has zero managerial experience from what I've heard. A coach with good clubs under his belt however, but this is still a big big gamble. Thank you for everything Derek.

I'm sure they had to do similar last season. They'll get an XI together, there's plenty of free agents and loans to go at. How good they'll be as a team is another thing obviously. And it'll take time for any massive change in squad to gel. I wish them luck but I'll be amazed if they're not a hiding to nothing for at least the first 5/6 games.

Ash comes across as very intelligent and thoughtful, and Tomlin does indeed seem to complement him in that regard. Maybe his job is to be a kind of sergeant major.
