Feel sorry for sheff United fans tonight, another club being destroyed by dickhead owners, why sack Wilder, sell some of your best players and sign some nobody's no one has heard of, why do these plastic fans/owners think they know more than football people like Wilder, we got a wanker of a chairmen at Derby who nearly took us under, feel sorry for both Sheffield clubs who have been shit on by owners who just don't care about the history of these clubs and what they bring to there communities, hope both clubs get sorted ASAP, I do feel your pain after my great club was nearly destroyed by a egotistic twat.

Selles hasn't covered himself in glory, and it's a results business, but the owners and the recruitment is the bigger issue here. Regardless of tactics, set-up, whatever you want to point towards. A lot of tonight was more to do with the lack of quality across the pitch.

You can point to their achievements last year, but from the away leg against Bristol where they were so dangerous. Tonight they started three players from that starting XI: Cooper, Burrows & Peck.

Cooper was awful tonight, not sure how you can get done twice between your legs in the same game. Burrow is part of a defensive unit that just looks so easy to get at and it's not like they bought him for his defensive qualities. The other is Peck, who may have just been fortunate last season to play alongside a Souza - who they replaced with Alex Matos(?)

I'm not saying Sheffield United don't have quality, because they obviously do, but they have glaring issues (lack of presence upfront and/or midfield) and it's very evident to me a manager change isn't necessarily going to solve all their issues - especially when the decision makers at the club have shown themselves to be incompetent at coherent planning. I just don't see how he survives this - first the on-pitch roasting followed by dropping two of their better players. The writing is on the wall and I think he's probably just lost his head.

Interesting to see what happens now, tough job for whoever comes in. I don't think they will go down, but I didn't think Luton would either.

Until the first goal, I thought they matched us. Maybe even shaded it? It was nervy for us for until we scored for sure. They have some obvious quality in midfield, although lack a cutting edge up top. I can’t see them being in trouble for long. Who knows.

December 30th was the last time I saw us win, it’s been a long time coming. The relief amongst everyone, brilliant. Philogene took some stick last season, not least from me, but looked a different prospect tonight. Coming in off the left, if you show him inside (as they did) then you’re in trouble. One far side, one near side, forget it. The best bit was the third goal, off his left foot. It’s hard to know how to defend against all that. Really pleased for him and hope he can keep it up. Nice touch playing his song at the end, he deserved it.

Didn’t know much about Nuñez until tonight, my word. Starting to understand why his defection has caused such a reaction amongst the City fans. Cajuste and Azor, they are going to dominate a lot of midfields this year. I like the look of Ivan as well, he could hopefully be pushing Hirst for a starting spot before too long. Nice to see Sindre on the pitch and Furlong had a really good game at right back as well, impressive.

It’s been a while, but we are on the way back

He's a midfielder that's always threatened to become one of the best in the league. Held back by his own body in part but if I'm being honest mostly the balance of our midfield. Over the 3 years he's played for us he's never really been paired up with a player that covers his weaknesses. For the most part it's been the more offensively minded Sara or probably too similar McLean. Naturally this year we signed a 6 foot 3 powerhouse DM who would have been the perfect foil.

Wrexham away for us. Quietly confident that we have turned a corner and we can get a win here.

We have goal scoring strikers but our goalkeeper is shit. He'll gift them a goal. Have money on both teams to score today.

We were OK in the first half, but as has been the case so far this season - we're absolutely dreadful in both boxes.

On paper, we have some quality but we're lacking leadership and confidence which is a worrying mix. Cooper and the defence are completely exposed, Godfrey has started in terrible form, Peck looks lost without Souza next to him and then the likes of O'Hare, Brooks and Barry look busy but contribute nothing of substance. Cannon has offered absolutely nothing since he joined in January too.

There's only one way to go when you can't score and can't defend...

Biggest concern is who will be the centre back pairing. Likely Scott Wharton (who missed all last season with a serious injury) and Miller who from what I have seen just isn't a centre back. Suspect it's too soon for Carter after injury but we'll see.

Can't with any faith predict us at the moment with so many new faces. The games we have lost there are arguments to say we could have had results in but that's for us to cut the mistakes out and be more clinical.

    Still can’t believe I’m missing today’s game.

Still, being on holiday, being able to just shut my phone away and not speak to anyone after we lose does soften the blow.

Of course Sheffield United have gone 5 defeats from 5, and will probably sack their manager just in time for their next game against …

Typical. First match I've missed in bloody ages and I've missed nearly as many goals at the North Stand end as we scored last season

Hopefully the start of the turn and the drive up the table.

Sky Sports just called Gareth Bale a 'streets won't forget' player. Absolute insult and complete lack of understanding of the streets not forgetting philosophy.

Comedy season continues, start off with usual keep ball bollocks, and now we look completely lost as if no plan for 10 men, we have had a incredibly kind start on the fixture list on paper.

if Carranza is any good the sooner he's upfront instead of Ayew the better we'll be he can't hold the ball up when we need it

I'm watching the Charlton game. Is the Transfermarkt graphic right and he's playing up front? Best thing about him was the timing of his runs so I could see it.

Attacking mid. Nearly got a good assist to his name, too, but we didn't convert the goalmouth scramble.
