I think those type of moments usually show you the difference between a top player and an average one. You see the average player take too long to get those type of chances under control whereas the best will usually have the touch and composure to at least get a clear chance
He was stumbling about like a pub league player from the moment the ball came over and then fell over. Won't stop us sending a strongly worded letter to the PGMOL though
Of course it does, that's what the PL is all about! Doesn't mean that we can't be the bigger people and be honest with our assessment. Forest twitter is in meltdown about it but you can't tell me that we'd just accept it with good grace if it was given against us
Keeper raises his hand last minute which takes Awoniyi down. Its a pen for me. Just never seem to get any or those decisions our way. Shouldn't have lost that game. Better team 2nd half. Just too soft at the back yet again.
Cheers Newcastle. Initially I thought Aywonyi tried to buy the pen but the more I saw it the more I thought it was a foul. The keeper clearly raised his arm and made contact at the last minute so could've had no complaints had it been given. Either way Forest looked way more threatening than we do at the moment so I'm sure you'll be fine (points deductions aside).
I've seen a lot of Forest fans talk about us looking threatening. One thing nobody seems to be considering is the opposition, the same opposition we scored 3 against away from home very recently. They are so open in how they play that they will always give up chances, especially to a low block fast counter setup like the one we seem to be sticking with. We'll truly see if we are making progress in that regard when we come up against a more rigid Moyes side next week
We're probably the best opponents to face after a spanking to be honest. Having seen West Ham torn apart today, I'm sure Nuno is planning his next low block masterclass
It wasn't intentional from the goalkeeper to take Awoniyi down with his arm, but I don't think the goalkeeper can have any complaints if it was given. You's had some good chances to win the game, but never took them, and being soft at the back, you were punished. West Ham next, who have just took a hammering, I think you'll get a result there personally.
Hard to disagree with your assessment there - too soft at the back means when you don't take your chances, against quality players- you'll get punished. Can't defend set pieces, and JWP pinging perfect crosses into our box? Recipe for another calamity at the back.
He's having a bit of downtime from social media at the moment. Hopefully, he'll make a return at some point
