You're presuming that he actually has a medical condition bar a common need to wear contacts. I guess this is the point that this whole fiasco comes down to.....
Presumptions non of us should really be making, because non of us should know. But, thanks to the Peterborough Chairman, we all know there's an issue with an eye, whether that be serious or minor. So, his private business is being discussed and people are reaching their own conclusions. His chairman has provided the platform for such discussions.
There would have been speculation anyway. He was having a medical for 11 hours and Forest pulled out. I haven't dismissed the possibility that its complete nonsense from the Forest chairman. I hope Boydie's sake that it is and they haven't stumbled over something serious, but then if they had, I doubt Darragh would have blown his top.
My view on this whole think is we've made the right decision.I didn't at first I was pissed off.but think about it,if is eye problem is deteriorating why would forest want to sign him for2.5 years? You would want him on loan instead. And what a disgrace the Peterborough chairman is coming out with the players personal health details in public.
Health details? He wears bloody contacts, your posting like the chairmen has just revealed Boyd has cancer!
Some good stuff on fls about it Steve clarridge trying not to laugh when Asked if he ever had an eye test
Did someone say George Boyd has cancer? Shit I didn't realise it was that serious. Hope the treatment goes well and that he can continue on with his career as he is a good player! Get well soon, George!
Someone in this thread said he had cancer, something to do with the failed eye test? Horrifying if true and I just hope George is OK!
Lolz. Forest acted in the right and proper way like all clubs would. They don't have weird foreign owners and they won't be in administration within 12 months. Boyd is blind and Fawaz is God. I have my popcorn ready for the next few weeks
I cant actually believe some reds have been taken in by this utter utter garbage from Fawaz. Basically, they tried to pull a fast one and got caught with their pants down, and in the meantime wrecked Peterborough's final chance of a fee for him...absolutely disgusting way of conducting themselves and they have embarassed the club and its fans......other clubs wont want to do business with these idiots either and I dont blame them. Can I also ask........Why did we sack SOD, get a manger like AM and then fail to land all 3 potential targets (all of whom are average and hardly the players to get you promoted) anyway? I said it weeks ago and people didnt like it but if you are not questioning these VENKY mark two's now then good look in future........but dont say I didnt tell you. My conclusion...... 1) They have no idea what they are doing, no idea at all and in the process are making a laughing stock of the club. 2) They dont have anywhere near the funds people think, "rich" owners that want promotion offer more money to a manager than the fees being banded about for these apparent targets of AM. Oh, and reds fans.......dont come back trying to justify this eye test thing, ive never heard such SHITE in all my life.
Entirely agree Redders, You're right we are Venkys mkII, As for rich... What does that mean, A bloke around the corner from me seems to be rich because hes got a bigger house, better car than me.. It doesnt mean hes got £100m to spend. I've said on another thread that we havent moved forward at all, We're a laughing stock AGAIN.. And i sick of the club.
I was surprised myself with the amount of Forest fans that have had the wool pulled over their eyes with this one!
It was obvious for me the minute they sacked SOD, wether I agreed with it or not it showed a real lack of knowledge appointing him then sacking him........and then to replace him with AM, the outcome has been obvious ever since. People may chose to not live in the real world and pretend everything is okay but to me it's glaringly obvious. Ive been going to Forest almost 30 years so have been lucky to see us have decent teams and compete against the best and Im grateful for that because its gonna be a fooking long time before it happens again with these idiots in charge. Lets be realistic though, its par for the course with Forest. Nothing good has happened for 15 years.....so instead of being pissed off I now just accept it. The Boyd situation however did make me ashamed to be a red. I suppose its another lesson learnt....Be very careful what you wish for in football ey!!!
One thing I will say Josh is what happened was wrong, BUT......the deal could have collapsed at another club for another reason because thats the nature of the beast. Im not sure if anyone else had bid for Boyd earlier in Jan and maybe the Irish fella held firm for a better deal, in which case there's always a risk. Whilst I understand his anger also completely I think it is wholeheartedly unprofessional of him to bring the medical situation into the public domain because he's alerting everyone to a possible problem with Boyd which could affect his future. Im not defending Forest in any way, ive made my feeling clear, Im just speaking hypothetically with regards the failed medical.
