If he wants to spend big, he should try and sign Falcao.

Falcao is off to Monaco. Third party ownership and all that bulls*it that entails..

If I could have any striker, it would be Lavezzi. He is a tasty footballer.

Madrid want rid of Di Maria we need to go in for that! World class player & probably one of the few ones in our price range.

Rooney's an overrated tw@ not worth his wages. Do.not.want.

people want us to spend big, and on established talent, but the moment a player like Rooney is linked they have issues?

He would improve the team, and that is all that should matter.

One person has an issue with not signing Rooney....hardly the majority of Arsenal fans, is it?

Apparently we're signing Yaya Sanogo from Auxerre.

On that Sanoko lad we're interested in, I just read that when he played for the French u-16 team he scored 48 goals in 18 appearances..unbelievable. That's something like a 2.7 goal ratio in every game.

Wenger will probably sign an average French midfielder and a crappy South American centre-back :p

10 in 19 appearances for Auxerre.

He's definitely got a proven track record for scoring throughout his young career so far.

    48 goals 18 appearances for French u-16's
    9 goals in 16 appearances for "" u-17's
    2 goals in 9 appearances for "" u-19's

He's sounds like another Diaby to me, double leg break and muscle injuries ever since.

Auxerre seem to have perfected producing injury prone players.

The Sun has us linked with Morgan Schneiderlin.

    Thoughts?

He's a good player but I dont think he's Arsenal quality. Have to go for a more experienced player, possibly Hamsik??

Hamsik is an AM, Schneiderlin a DM, something you could use.

Lots of rumours about Vermaelen asking to leave. I don't blame him, he's gone from captain to bench warmer and he's not had the best season.

That said, I would still like to keep him. There is a good defender in there somewhere and I reckon he'll come back to what he could be if we take the captaincy off him. (Much like Gallas, who's game did improve when we did the same thing)

What I am laughing at is the price being mooted about. £6 million? There is not a chance we'll make a loss on him.
