It was a bad tackle on Georgie B. Steven Gerrard knew it and he actually apologised straight away and is supposed to have said it was a bad tackle to the Villa lads in private. I don't think there was actually any malice in it, although i was angry about it. He's young and think it was youthful frustration. But for Houllier to come out and defend it afterwards. He said that Boateng 'overdid it a bit' and was 'a good actor'. I'm sorry next time Boateng nearly has his leg broken, he'll try to make a little bit less out of it. What is Houllier on? I think he owes George Boateng an apology there as that is no way to talk, even if you are frustrated at a defeat.
Saw the tackle on Sky Sports earlier, shocking and Gerrard fully deserved to be sent off no question.Surprised the guys leg wasn't broken.Houllier is wrong on this occasion!
Listening to Houlier, you would think Liverpool deserved the free kick because Boatang dived! The scousers will have to do better to challenge MAN U - but who cares - villa win their game in hand by 2 goals and can go 3rd! Click it and see for yourself Or try this one, for a look at the lighter side.
Houllier has done a u-turn now & accepts it was a bad tackle. How he didn't see how bad it was before he saw it on telly I'll never know. The Villa bench seemed to see it alright so how come the Liverpool bench didn't??
the bloke is an arrogant prat.he did admit it was a bad tackle but still claimed the boateng was a good actor and did you see that *****r phil thompson!i would hate to see liverpool have a bad season for the reason that houllier moans more than any manager well maybe o'leary and he has won 5 trophies recently!
