Might be wrong but I read he's now made the most mistakes leading directly to goals in PL history for a single season.
I remember he was signed due to being "good on the ball" I think but people do seem to forget keepers have to still save a shot.
Yeah it’s nonsense. He’s actually very good under high balls and an excellent stopper. He’s extremely average however with the ball at his feet, his distribution is the worst bit of his game. Following on from Hladky, who was genuinely the best keeper I’ve ever seen with the ball on the deck, it looks even worse than it is. I still think he’ll come good one day, but he’s not ready for this level yet.
I think he’ll be off whatever happens. He’s actually looked pretty decent so far, perhaps not ready for the first team every week quite yet but has lots of ability.
I don't unless he leaves to take a break thinking he can't take us further à la Eddie Howe at Bournemouth. I don't see who's appointing him based on our season in the Premier League.
Spurs will need someone vaguely competent soon enough. He has a connection with them, can see him and Liam Delap both ending up there. He’s streets ahead of the current clown for sure.
I think sadly, as we showed last season, having a poor keeper is fatal in the Premier league - you just can’t afford to give away those cheap goals. Turner until Xmas last year single handedly lost us 10+ points, and that almost sent us down. Burnley last season & Leeds before were hugely impacted by poor keeping. Hopefully Ipswich can sort it out assuming you bounce back up.
Walton had replaced him but is now out injured, hence Muric returning. And, good as he is, Walton probably isn’t a top-line PL keeper either. Our other keeper is Slicker, young and inexperienced but talented. As we now have to choose between Muric chucking one in every game and throwing Slicker in at the deep end, I’m glad it’s not me who has to make that decision.
Have to say i enjoyed my trip up to Town saturday, definitely one of my favourite aways in the country, some great pubs (i drunk in the dove, the briarbanks and the lord nelson) and the Town fans are a really decent bunch. Obviously actually winning a game helps, but if i'm honest i thought we were pretty jammy in winning it, the fair result would've probably been a draw and if anything Ipswich edged it over the course of the game. That said it was nice to see us actually doing the simple things right and attacking the other side, it's really starting to feel like the idiocy of Martin's reign of terror is lifting and the players aren't constantly reverting to passing the ball around pointlessly and trying to play walking football. Probably all way to little to late, but i'm now at last thinking we might now "break" Derby's record, just wish we'd got shot of Martin much, much sooner as this team/squad could've been competitive still (not out of the relegation spots i'd guess, but still in with a shout). Such a shame the board had to stick with such a cluelessly inept manager for so long really
Loved the Nelson, proper pub, decent choice of ales and had a good natter with the locals Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Glad you enjoyed your visit. Ipswich gets a lot of stick from locals as I guess all larger towns/small cities do but it's not a bad place really. Having a ground in the town centre really helps things.
I don't know how you can have the fxxking gall to run off a list of relegations and keepers and not mention Danny fxxking Ward. Just get out.
Been loads as I have family who live close by - Woodbridge - and mates who are town fans, always had a go day out and one of the aways I check for Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
