Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster Rovers v Manchester City 14/7/2007. How Easy Was It To Find? I went by train and it was not that hard to find. You basically turn right as you come out of the station and follow the dualcarriageway. The stadium is fairly well signed. It is a good 25 to 30 minutes to walk, due to it being alongside a dualcarriageway it is also not very pleasant. Car Parking? I imagine it was possible to park on the surrounding industrial estate and there was some parking at the ground. However I went by train. View and comfort ? It was comfortable in the away end with plenty of room and a good view of the pitch. Its a smart new stadium although it lacks character as so many of the new stadiums do. Catering? I didn't sample the food. Atmosphere From Home Fans and away fans is it easy to create a good atmosphere in the away end ? Although it was only a friendly I got the impression that a good atmosphere could be created in the stadium. However with the stadium not even being half full it was difficult to judge. The stadium appeared to have good acoustics, probably helped by the fact that it is an enclosed stadium. Pubs, Things To Do Nearby ? Hardly anything, it is in the middle of an industrial estate. I didn't have a drink but there are no pubs in the immediate area around the stadium as far as I could see. Overall rating : 6/10. Its a decent ground but it lacks character and it is a fair way out of town. I'm sure there are others on here who can fill in some of the gaps e.g. catering, any good pubs.
Aye. As is the norm the away fans never see where the bars/extra parking is as it's all the opposite side to the away end. Loads of pubs towards where Belle Vue is which isn't far at all from the stadium complete withe masses of parking. There's even a pub slap bang next door to the stadium if you don't fancy a walk though it's not the best in my opinion. There are also the usual KFC/Mcdonalds/Pizza hut next door and a few cafes in the shopping centre which looks like it's a factory from the stadium side but it's a shopping centre with a huge car park. Also a cinema, bowling alley and leisure centre the other side of the lake where a few bars etc are located.
