Just looked at their kit history. Seems they changed from mainly white shirts to what they wear now about couple of years ago.
Southend United have been voted top on the National League Archive site for their home kit . With absolutely no surprise Forest Green are bottom. I like our White away kit. The plain kits are my favourite ones All home kits are on the site with some not having their 3rd kits but not their 2nd.
Which probably led to this kit clash at the start of last season https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4PLZbW6t9nA
Red and black are their traditional colours. They went to an all white kit in the mid-00s probably (almost certainly) because of the owner at the time who pumped a lot of money in during the clubs rapid rise up the non-league ranks. They reverted back to Red and Black a couple of years back
Sutton announce a new third kit https://x.com/suttonunited/status/1961356902400729536?s=46&t=tJhHIbcT0ppWF1llgGLUJA https://x.com/suttonunited/status/1961360678654283900?s=46&t=tJhHIbcT0ppWF1llgGLUJA It’s a remake of our away kit from the turn of the millennium- so a nice blast from the past for an older millennial like myself who still has the original somewhere
interesting that the ref was content to see the game go ahead, though I can imagine that nobody really wants to see a long away trip postponed at a semi-pro level.
