If more tickets had been given reckon we would of took up to 700 for Bristol still a good following from us
Good effort from the Gills' away following again considering we have now taken 2 points from 8 games away all season, 2 points from our last 10 league games, and have to put probably more miles in then any one on the road, with trips to places like MK, Peterborough and Coventry among our "local" derbies in this division. At least we'll have a few slightly more local derbies next season, the way we are going!
Did you only get 490 odd then? Seems odd that they wouldn't allocate more given the Atyeo holds 4000, but I suppose their home crowds will be up this season given their flying start.
Yeah, they only received 490. Thought it was a bit strange as MK brought 500+ and away teams are allowed up to 1000 this year. Oldham must have took the initial allocation from us not expecting such a demand and by the time they wanted more there wasn't enough room due to the tickets being sold to our supporters.
If Oldham requested only that to start with then we're not going to make provisions given the home fans directly next to them and we're short on space as it is. I think you're given the option of 1100 in total, but if they aren't sold by away fans we'll sell them ourselves which makes sense. More fool Oldham really underselling themselves.
And our third away game in a week! Was a good turn out, those that went were in good voice too. £25 a ticket though...not sure I'll be going back!
211 Colchester fans at Oakwell tonight. Can't scoff at that for such a long journey. Edit: Supermegabonus pic Look at them all there. A great bunch of lads.
Apparently we hadn't even sold 900 of our initial 2500 allocation of Preston on Thursday. Should be taking at least 2k really..
***TABLE IN OP UPDATED*** League 1 Away Followings Week 13 Sheffield United at Doncaster (4269) Bristol City at Swindon (2971) Bradford at Preston (1310) Chesterfield at Crewe (844) Leyton Orient at Gillingham (804) Notts County at Coventry (764) Peterborough at Walsall (579) Rochdale at Port Vale (566) Colchester at Barnsley (211) Crawley at Oldham (83) Fleetwood at Yeovil (72) As much as it pains me to say it, what a superb effort from Sheff United this week. Biggest following so far this season in League 1, and though Donny is a local derby taking over 4,000 is not to be sniffed at. The bastards
How come you guys knocked the stand down?? How bigs new one guna be? Seems slightly strange cause although you had/have decent crowds I doubt many clubs used to take up the full allocation ( even in championship )
We're redeveloping our stadium, Hull-lad. Three stands are effectively being rebuilt and our ground will hold 27,000 by the start of the 2016/17 season. As 4D said, the old away will now be for home fans and the opposite end, in which away fans are located this year, will be the new away end.
I believe so, when it's all done. I can imagine some people who have been in the Atyeo for years might complain, so the club may open part of the stand up to home fans if there isn't a big away following, but it's not as if they won't have plenty of seats to choose from in the other three!
Unless theres demand from home fans (which the wouldnt be unless we made the PL), the Atyeo will be the aay end..kicking me out of my seat of over 15 years
Good showing from Vale in terms of numbers and quality, 762 made the trip here. Despite being behind for almost the entire match they made plenty of noise and sung throughout.
