To replace Lowe, we've got Danny Johnson who can score but not run, and Josh Gordon who can run but not score! It'll be interesting to see who gets picked to start on Saturday. Personally, I think it's more important to replace the running than the goals - we've had plenty of other goalscorers, so if we keep playing the same way, those chances should still crop up. Rumour has it that we're after Freddie Draper from Lincoln, after his successful loan spell last year.
How did Lowe play for you then? What were his strengths and how did you use him? I think you look well set to continue doing well without him. You don't get as far clear as you are without being an all round good team and while you'll obviously miss someone as prolific as Lowe has been, I imagine you'll be fine to at least hold onto the top 3 this season. If not continue on and win the title.
Walsall have been playing without the ball for the majority of games. Our whole team are very quick to close down the opposition, and Lowe has played a full part in that. Most of his goals have come from inside the area, so I think he's been good at finding a bit of space and taking the shot quickly.
First signing of the window announced unexpectedly early today instead of the usual evening of deadline day strategy. Darragh Burns is a Mariner! - Grimsby Town Football Club Unusually long contract by our standards but it's been clear we've needed more, and ideally pacier, options in those areas for a while.
Romoney Crichlow gone to Bradford undisclosed ( peanuts ) 6 months with a 12 month option . Good move for all , didn't work out at Posh for him left of a 3 or LCB in a 4 , too slow & error prone but then again , all of our defenders are , good luck to him , I'm sure more details will be spoken about transfer on Hard Truth Podcast with MacAnthony & Ideson upcoming this week .
Delighted we've got him back and he was one of the stand out performers on debut Tuesday night. Hopefully we draw you in the Semi's of the Trophy and he notches a last minute winner to send us to Wembley.
