Hume is clearly going isn't he but I wouldn't be surprised if we still bring another LB in, I see Staunton as a Carson upgrade who is almost certain to be shipped out on loan if he doesn't get a move elsewhere.
I’d never imagine Reece as a LB, never seemed to have the pace he was a CB for us. Still hope he does well and no he’s not Steve’s lad although he also played for us. Long before 23 years ago though haha.
Our resident ITK poster has linked us with Michael Cheek. Now that would be surprising. Would suit our style of play though.
Danny Cashman signs for Crawley. At Worthing in National South last season. He is actually a Crawley lad and went as a fan to the play off final at Wembley. You always hope the local lads do well but I've never seen him play. 2 year deal. Casey
That's an interesting one. We had high hopes of Staunton becoming a regular for years to come after showing a lot of promise as a teenager. Just never happened for him though after a couple of injuries, and he drifted out to the local non league scene with Ossett and Bradford Park Avenue. Not really followed his progress at Spennymoor but good to see him get another chance in the football league. Good luck to him and your team for next season.
Oldham fans on here @Philliggi @Simpo , heard there could be something in Ryan Colclough joining you. He’s OOC here, but was offered a contract on reduced terms & most likely just 1 year too, so no guarantees he signs that. See what happens with that.
Happy with our 3 that have signed extensions today. boot - like him, good enough for no 1 imo but a very strong 2 if we sign someone better mcfadz - wasn’t convinced at first cos of age but he’s proved me wrong - no pace but otherwise love him. Usually doesn’t need it due to reading if game. Fleck - less fussed by this this but he’s clearly talented & would be interested to see how he fares after a full pre-season

Sounds like circa £850k in the end. Interesting snippet in the local Bolton rag: “As The Bolton News revealed earlier this month, MK Dons boss Paul Warne tried to sign Collins during his time in charge of Derby County but could not match the money on offer from Bolton." Apparently Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town were also interested in Collins this summer. So we put our hands in our pocket for him beyond those 4 bigger clubs in higher divisions. Hopefully it’s money well spent (seems like he could easily be POTY in L2 given his fantastic season in L1 but let’s see - we have form for ruining players). Still pinching ourselves really after spending 20 years with Winkelman (who wasn’t a pauper but certainly wouldn’t splash like this and as often) prior to these Arab billionaires, but I guess these days…
