Interesting going with a fella who has no league football / managerial experience, especially in a league that is notoriously hard to get out of first time around for the fallen big boys.

Lets hope for your sake he is not another sports science degree type like Paul Clements who is great at being as assistant but could not manage a shite in a shithole.

He's worked under Mourinho and Postecoglou, knows a bit about sports psychology and brings a wealth of backroom experience. He'll be gone by Christmas then..

Late to the party but yeah glad he's gone. No coincidence we've picked up already.

I'd rather watch 4-4 games than the dull beige football Critchley served up

    Steve Bruce?!

Steve Bruce: Blackpool name ex-Newcastle manager as new boss

Doubt Blackpool fans are too happy.

Be a big experienced name at League One level but be any good for the modern game?

Seems to be a mixed reaction on Twitter and your forum but more that it's not Pete Wild or the previous manager more than anything.

Newcastle fans warned us, I didn't believe them. They was right.

If he saw the season out here we would of been relegated to this league but thankfully we sacked him and corberan rook over and we haven't looked back since.

Good luck to pool, you will need it with the clown in charge

    Oh wow. That's hilarious.

He was sacked here October 2022 when we was 22nd in the relegation zone.

That season we finished 9th only missing out on play offs on last game. Last season finished 5th. Currently second. And we haven't spent much since we sacked him either.

He will also sign his friends who are past it.

I do not understand why they would be unhappy,,,has he suddenly become a bad manager? He will undoubtedly get them results, like he did almost everywhere he went.

Well he has been but last few jobs haven’t been great albeit at a higher level.

Obviously everyone is different but the comments above aren’t exactly positive either .

Burton have sacked Robinson after of run of 7 defeats. He's only won one of his 14 matches in charge and that was in the BSM Trophy.

Gareth Ainsworth has been names as head coach at Shrewsbury with his long standing number two Richard Dobson,i wish them both well except in the 2 League games we have to play them this season i'm sure they will get a lovely warm welcome when they come to Adams Park.

I had planned on March 1st to go see Posh v Shrewsbury as part of my 10 game flexi ticket but now I'll change my mind as in a 100 minute match ( with injury time ) the game will probably only be 60 mins with the shithousing / gamesmanship that Ainsworth teams are synonymous with .

On the plus side , I bet Scumbridge & fans are worried Salop will get out of drop zone now .
