Newport were the masters of their own downfall yesterday. Really stretches the defensive numbers after have two sent off. Interested to see how we bounce back now.

I think if you looked at our first 5 games you'd have said we'd get 10 points, just not in the way we've got them. If we can get something at Walsall next week we will be in a good position with favourable fixtures after that (Wimbledon H, Harrogate A, Morecambe A and Newport H). A good chance to go on a mini run and be right up there after the first 10.

An interesting one. Port Vale signed Darren Moore on a five-and-a-half-year contract. That was crazy. Already the fans are starting to wonder what they are stuck with. Mid table and probably going to be there most of the season. How long will he really last at Port Vale?

The Doncaster juggernaut continues from last season as we currently top the table but that does not mean we will win every game as Newport showed us.

Doncaster's big test was having to topple Gillingham from the top in the last game. Bradford's big test is coming up against Walsall.

My prediction for the end of the season top 3 will be Doncaster, Notts County and Bradford. We'll see how right I am.

Blimey we were shocking all over the pitch tonight. Even Owen Bailey didn’t put in a 7 out of 10 performance so you know it’s just one of those days  Would very much like to see Olowu in for Anderson next time out.

The Harrogate bogey streak continues! Onto the next one

Yes, Donny were poor tonight. Shots galore, but none in the net. Almost as if we were in panic mode before the game even started. God knows what happened to all our firepower and the defence was poor. Newport and Harrogate made us look average and others will learn from them. But fact is we are still top until Saturday, but staying in the top 3 won't be all that easy. Keep this up and we might be fighting in the play-offs again.

Similarly to the beginning of last season I think McCann is trying to figure out his best midfield. We’ve got Bailey, Clifton, Close who started tonight but then we’ve also got Westbrooke, Broadbent, Sbarra and Kelly.

Bailey - Starts every game for me
Kelly - Has looked great so far, think we’ve missed him these last couple of games and goes very nicely next to Bailey.
Clifton - A very useful player for certain games as he never stops running and does the dirty work
Westbrooke - Hit and miss. Another one who’s useful for certain games depending how the opposition set up
Close - Remain unconvinced by him
Broadbent - McCann trusted him in pre-season but that seems to have faded. Needs a loan
Sbarra - Yet to really see much of him

Hopefully we start to see a more settled 3 in the middle. I’d like to see Bailey - Kelly with Sbarra in front of them as the attacking midfielder

Seems Walsall fans are following in the footsteps of Notts County fans and crying about ticket allocation for their match against Chesterfield .

How many do you give away fans? I remember when you were last in the league we'd get the whole stand behind the goal and a few seats to the left as well.

You get the side only now, around 1k allocation. Home fans behind both goals.

Hardly "crying" - we're quite used to playing against recently non-league clubs with tiny grounds.

Oh there were definitely a few crying on the League 2 banter page . Looks like the post has now been deleted. Like I pointed out you lot only average 650-750 away so couldn’t understand all the tears .

So why come on here "crying" about it when your time could be better spent understanding the mathematical concept of "average"?

Woke nonsense. One of my favourite away days was your spot in our promotion season. Ravenhill's late goal at our end to go 2-1 up sticks out. You equalised in the last minute but it didn't matter in the end.

Well, well, well ǝpısdılɟ you must be happy with that result as Doncaster hit the self-destruct button. Two sent off and a good away win for you.
A better chance for Barrow now to beat Donny. Oh well, maybe one day Donny will work ok how to escape this league but not playing like this.

Yeah , can’t complain . Thought we played pretty well . You had a good 5 minutes first half must admit. Your lot seemed unhappy with the ref not sure why looking at Dobra’s ankle on istragram. But all in all we were class :)

Yes, Doncaster allowed emotions to overpower their professionalism. Chesterfield played well and deserved the win.

Nice to collect our usual 3 points at Grimsby today! Completely took our foot off the gas second half but no issues with that for me
