There's no waiving function on my spreadsheets either. I remember V lookups on the Excel for dummies course, I don't remember waiving.
If there was one genuine concern I had about the owners it was that they were increasing the debt the club owed, and they've wiped that out now. We might not be running away with the league any time soon but it really seems like we're in a great place in the long run.

Draw fair result Barnet much better team first half and we were very fortunate to go in 1-0 down. second half we were much better and as usual poor finishing cost us.
Our Assistant Manager Gary Waddock is out for the foreseeable with an ankle injury that requires surgery, so we have drafted in Chris Powell MBE as interm Assistant. Pretty chuffed with that I am honest, I expected us to just give it to a local journeyman coach or ex player.
Despite being only upper mid table and not in the top three or four all season I think we are too. Notts just look strong with squad depth at the moment. Only cloud on the horizon is the keeper who is a liability.
We look a proper threat going forward. Return of Tsaroulla, Jatta and Robertson, introduction of Hall, and moving Jones back to the left has made a huge difference since the way we started the season. Paterson has made good on his promise to get them fitter as well, our press is very good. The number of soft goals we concede is a worry, though. If we can be in touch going into January when we can sort the goalkeeping situation out then I’d be very happy with that.
League 2. Soft goals are nothing new. Before putting 7 past Cheltenham a week last Saturday we conceded a very soft goal. We celebrated this Saturday's win by complimenting ourselves on keeping a clean sheet.
Pato is getting locked in the training ground until he promises to put Jarvis and Traore on the bench.
"I arrive with fresh ideas, experiences and contacts from my time at Swansea – and even greater passion and respect for the way we operate at Meadow Lane." Not a ringing endorsement for Swansea, if I'm honest. No mention of the technical board but presumably that's what they mean about "day to day football operations"
Williams was equally as scathing about Swansea (which feels out of character for him). They must have been awful to our beautiful boys. He’s going to be fuming at how few dainty attacking midfielders Roberto signed in the summer.
I’d be interested to know if any of this summers signings were scouted by Montague. Delighted he’s back, had a very good hit rate on transfers.
This is terrible news for the League Two class of 2026/27. You better get yourselves promoted this season folks now Chief Laptop Nerd is back. He's a stat man.
Probably, the model persisted. Kouhyar for example is someone we tried to sign in the past. I am surprised there’s such an overwhelmingly positive response to his return given there were a vocal minority who decided he was the devil because we didn’t adequately replace all the brilliant players that ironically he signed. His hit rate over the 5 years he was here was fairly astonishing I’d say given the financial model he operated in (I.e. we’re fundamentally against overpaying the odds for any player) - most of the players people call out as being crap weren’t ’big bets’, you can’t beat him over the head on Charlie Colkett when he was introduced as ‘he’s crocked and probably not good but we’ve given him a 6 month contract to have a look’ - Traore is maybe the only player where we’ve paid a fee or given a >2 year contract to and it looks like a big mistake. For balance, last January was an abomination so hopefully he’s learned some sort of lesson there.
