Manchester City, Inter Milan and Barcelona are the only three teams that can stop us from winning the treble this season. It is time to put your doubts to one side my fellow reds and start to believe.
He was shocking today. Very strange time to praise him after he got overpowered time and time again today and was at fault for Stoke's goal.
Well, they have 2 games in hand, win both and they're only 2 points behind. ALSO, they have an easier bunch of matches to play.
This is Arsenal we are talking about my friend, forget about their goalkeeping and defensive issues, they simply cannot produce the goods when it matters. Chelsea were the only side that had the tools to give us any kind of concern in the league, but they once again fluffed their lines again today.
I don't think they do at all. The game today was one of the few that I thought we may drop points in.
After today Arsenal have 8 games left, 3 at home and 5 away. Plus of course 1 of those home games is against United, so I agree their run-in suddenly looks at least as daunting as ours.
It's not just that it's the games they have too. Two of their home games are ourselves who over the last few years have done particularly well there and Liverpool who I'd fancy to get a result with Arsenal under pressure to perform. Away trips to Stoke, Fulham, Spurs, Blackpool and Bolton certainly aren't easy either. I'm confident of going away to Arsenal and at the very least picking up a draw. Chelsea at home doesn't strike fear into me either given how well we've played against them. I don't think our bad luck against them can continue for much longer. When I look at our fixtures there's only away at Blackburn that I think may be a sticky game for us. I'm confident. It could all go wrong sure but this team we have while not being the best have a desire to win that we didn't have at times last year. Probably because we'd won the title three years on the trot and we want it back.
Very good hattrick, Rooney's first touch for his second was sublime. Should be taking more free kicks now.
Win our next two league games and then it does start looking ominous for the rest. I fancy us against Fulham at home and Newcastle have lost their star striker in recent months. Arsenal need to come out and perform in the second half today otherwise they could be out of it sooner rather than later. I do fancy them to get a goal and win the game though.
Fulham at home shouldn't be a huge issue for us given our home form although the midweek game could affect it. Newcastle away has been a good place for us to visit over recent years. It's not somewhere I'd expect us to drop points. I expect Arsenal to win today. This was one of those games I expected them to pick up all three points in. With the games they have coming up they really need too.
Couldn't have got any better for us today. Arsenal looked extremely poor. It was almost like they expected not to score.
