It is rather amusing how him saying a swear word (naughty boy) into the camera has completely overshadowed a fantastic performance and a hat-trick to bring us back from 2-0 down, and quite possibly give us the pivotal result in the title race.

I really do wish the 'gutter press' would get over themselves in their embarassing fake indignation and just talk about the f*cking football.

I will remember the hat trick, and in particular the free kick and second goal in years to come, as a key moment in our 19th title winning season.

I will certainly not remember Wayne uttering a swear word into the camera, that much is for sure.

Just a question, why doesn't Fergie just revert Rooney into an AM.

He has the vision, the passing ability and first touch to be lethal in that area. Not to mention he has a cracking shot.

If you had a really decent DM it would be fantastic.

How lethal could that be? Thoughts? I am sure it has crossed some of your minds. Fletcher could play the DM role quite effectively (cue sniggers)

And where's the width of that team? United has always been our width since my lifetime.

    That formation doesn't have width.

How so? You can play a diamond midfield with width, providing you have an good DM to watch out for gaps and do some calm controlled work in midfield.

I'm guessing the presumption would be Rooney would quite easily slot into a flat four defensively and only when we attack would he push forward. Carrick sits with the two fullbacks pushing either side of him essentially creating:

    Rio Vidic
    Rafael Carrick Evra
    Rooney
    Nani Berbatov Valencia
    Hernandez

    Defensively they fall back into:

    Rafael Rio Vidic Evra
    Valencia Carrick Rooney Nani
    Berbatov
    Hernandez

    It'd work against some teams.
