Another W against a fellow play-off side (before the game). Sounded a comfortable afternoon, if we are still top 6 with a sniff of 2nd place by January I'll be very happy with the players that are due back by then.
Mega win for us against Stevenage, hopefully now we are on the mend and pushing for not just the playoffs but the Autos, hopefully the likes of Birmingham, Wycombe etc have a wobble and we can take the chance, but Bolton being Bolton doubt it
You did indeed played very well and completely controlled the first half but other than the goal only seemed to create shots outside the box. Second half a different story, Birmingham looked rattled after the goal, although you did have a great chance straight after, Mansfield themselves with three chances to win it including two 1v1s. Point was a fair result.
We have a tough game at Stockport tonight a ground where we never do well at and i'd snatch your hand off for a point to keep our 10 match unbeaten run going.
A handsome win will see you top of the league, pin the table up on the dressing room door - team talk done!! On another note we’ve just had confirmation of another game postponed for international week, I’m ****ing sick of these constant breaks, literally nobody enjoys them.
I hate them as well we've had 3 games called off now mostly Saturday games that we have to make up on week nights which pisses me off as i hate Saturdays when we're not playing.
Wow what the f*ck happened at Stockport last night i never saw that 5-0 win coming Goals from Richard Kone (2),Fred Onyedinwa (2) ans Aaron Morley put us into top spot something a small club like ours should take pride in considering none of the players we signed in the summer cost any money.
Your doing great and it shows the results that can happen when you stick with a manager when results aren't going quite so well. And at least you could sign some free players....we long for the day we can do that. The team, excluding Button in goal, we put up against Cheltenham in the BSM trophy in midweek had a combined 4 career league starts between them, and they were all for one 21 year old who made his first start this season.
Week 14, or is it 15? Could be thirteen as Birmingham have only played a dozen games, but anyway, on we go with another round of matches with Wycombe leading the way at the top of the tree after a very impressive run of games culminating in the demolition of Stockport midweek. Burton v Shrewsbury ( 12.30 ) Wrexham v Mansfield ( 12.30 ) Birmingham v Northampton Bristol Rovers v Lincoln Crawley v Huddersfield Exeter v Charlton Leyton Orient v Blackpool Peterborough v Cambridge Stevenage v Reading Stockport v Bolton Wigan v Wycombe
Looking forward to tomorrow , it'll only be my 3rd live match this season as we have Scumbridge tipping up at London Road for county derby day & here's hoping it ends similar to last year's 5-0 romp albeit I very much doubt it as they , give them their do , since Monk had his touchline ban have had more clean sheets than Dunhelm whereas Posh score & concede for fun . On the pitch we have Jed Steer out for 4/5 weeks after a knee op but Chris Conn-Clarke is back from injury & later in the month it sounds like Captain Hector Kyprianou & Jadel Katongo should be back in action & not before time .
Looking forward to it tomorrow, the Remembrance Day fixture is always a highlight in the calendar, our only home game this month!!! having an early start and a bit of a mooch around the City Centre pre match, might even brave the German market for a couple of overpriced piss waters. Complete sell out, with a couple of thousand Cobblers, should combine to make it a decent atmosphere. CD was saying we’re almost at full strength, Bielik back in consideration to start.
We're at Wigan tomorrow but i'm not confident after Matt Bloomfield has won manager of the month after winning 4 games and having 1 draw and scoring 12 goals,is the jinx of motm still a thing?
I wonder how much longer Tony Stewart gives Steve Evans after yet another loss with his ageing assembled squad ? I'm surprised they're doing this bad , Evans's teams nearly always start strongly & fade around April time but it's back to front this season & muggins here backed yo-yo Rotherham for promotion .
