Our old enemy Bristol Rovers did us a massive favour by drawing 1-1 with Wrexham earlier which means they are 2 points behind us but we have a game in hand which i think is against Cambridge. :)

This is the most amount of goals we've scored in a game this season

Just under 1100 I believe, it was crammed in there and the stewards were moaning they have over allocated again so must happen often. Couldn't see a thing down the end we was attacking first half. Dominant performance though, with some key players missing.

If we win Boxing Day I will start to believe the Top 2 is achievable for us. We have Balker/Hodge to come back in January where both could easily be starting for a top end championship squad.
One thing that's knackered us was not getting Alfie May over the line and then Luton pulling the plug last min on Joe Taylor so we have seriously lacked up top. But the chairman will spend with rumours Taylor will sign on a permanent, Devante Cole on loan, aswell as Alex Matos back on load from Chelsea. All 3 would improve us massively!
11 unbeaten in the league, but Boxing Day is a potential banana skin for sure.

Its strange that the mindset currently is if you belive we can do it, it will jinx us somehow.

There is still a chance we miss out on play-offs on the last day! Would just be typical Town.

However on Friday I did see a connection between the fans and players/manager we haven't experienced since the Wagner days. Still a long way off but much better than previous seasons. I've been critical of Duff in the past, but he's winning me over with every game that passes.

Boxing Day is the one we need to win though if we are to be top 2 contenders.

Working nights tonight so will sadly be resigned to watching the game on my phone, would have been a rare new ground for me too :angryfire

My uncle and his mates bought 75 tickets between them in the home end next to the away fans, sold to Birmingham addresses no questions asked, my other uncle and cousin are also in the home end, but live down that way, be interested to see a panned out view of the ground if we score!!

I know over 30 blues fans were allowed to leave the home end and join up with the away fans.

Home to Mansfield for Posh & i think it's around 15 years since we played them in a League match , I used to remember 12.30 ko's for some reason , maybe trouble , who knows & I think they're bringing around 1,650 far more than they ever have done but fair play to em .

On the pitch we'll be our inconsistent selves & will almost probably concede at least 2 goals & it pits 23rd v 18th in the form table last 5 games .

As for them , started season on fire but gone off the ball of late , they play football the right way ( I think ) & also have 4 ex Posh players in their squad who'll love to put one over us especially GK Pym who loathes us & moreso Fergie , Louis Reed in midfield , Frazer Blake-Tracey left back & Timid Tom Nichols up front .

Looking forward to the match , I think my last live sporting event on Boxing Day was at Huntingdon Races over a decade ago , I hope this Boxing Day ends better although the January window can't come quick enough , wouldn't surprise me to see out of favour at Wycombe the experienced Ryan Taffazolli back on loan at London Road & some of our defensive kids demoted back to Under 21's .

Well that was a very easy 3-0 win at Stevenage who yet again tried to kick our players off the park. :angryfire Richard Kone scored another 2 goals and was given the chance to score another hat trick but his penalty was f*cking dreadful even i would have saved it. :fail: Added to that Wrexham had a very dodgy penalty late on against Blackpool. :smackhead Are refs in awe of their Hollywood owners? :whistle

Well we've had to endure some shite defending this season at London Road but today was a new level of shiteness from our 22 yr old GK , one 18 yr old ,two 19 yr olds & a 20 yr old in our back 4 but saying that , still a cracking day out , with lots of 50 - 60 + yr olds well on form with sarcasm & gallows humour a plenty .

We should have been 5 or 6 down at half time , reckon Cardiff when 0-4 at half time was equal to today's shiteness & I've never seen as many fans leaving after 1/3 of the match as today , i left when our 18 yr old got sent off about 85th mins.

Credit Mansfield , long throws & corners they looked a real threat at & just let us have the ball in our tinpot Man City wannabe possession obsession style of football knowing we'll play a poor ball & then capitalise on it & they did it very well , Xmas Day twice for them .

Exeter under the lights my next , can't see us getting much from our next 3 fixtures , maybe draw at Burton then again , we're notoriously shite Xmas & New Year's even when we've had a half decent team .

Since when was hitting a players back a penalty?

More incompetent refereeing in League One. Deadpool must be passing the brown envelopes around the refs in the holidays

Scrappy but important win yesterday, top 4 breaking away to start their own mini-league.

Considering we have our No1 keeper, first choice wingbacks out + 2 / 3 players that would regularly start we're not doing so bad, bench is weak as piss though.

Watch us loose to Burton now, happened before when we was steamrolling teams in the Championship under Wagner! Hopefully we don't presume this is a guaranteed 3 points this time...

    Swap you for Fergie ?

He looked a broken man yesterday , partly his MacAnthony & Fry's doing getting together a team of children & weak men all with individual price tags on their backs & none with any team ethic or fight when the going gets tough .

Mansfield's youngest player yesterday ( 26 )was older than our oldest ( 25 )& it really was men v boys , they were about 1 foot taller & 2 feet broader & bullied us start to finish .

Pleas don't as we want to keep Aaron Morley even if it means paying for him and a new manager will want to see if he's worth keeping or letting go,rumour saying we'll put in a bid of £500,000 for him.

Rumour has it that we're going all out for him. We've even given him his own takeaways.
