I expect Carlisle to go back to their 4-3-1-2 from last season it is the only thing we have e done for near 2 years that ‘clicks’ it’s basic but with Kelly, Armstrong and Linney it’s bloody dangerous and really that is all you want going forward.

the big issue now is defence and midfield can we start to get the ball back in midfield and can we stop the basic sloppy aspects of the back line………that is tough because like a couple of other sides at present we have some crucial injuries to new centre backs and defensive midfielders which have left gaps there.

I’ve no issue with the 4-2-3-1 hughes prefers, but I think we should play that away when attack on the break is better this also allowed Kelly to not play each week.

bit we are home, Kelly has to start because he’s too good for this level, we will score a couple of goals and then it’s down to how solid we are

Woking played some nice football without really creating anything against us

As we did against Carlisle, we need an attacking midfielder and a proper striker, Ardley knows it and is looking for them. I knew we'd start slow with some horrible fixtures in August. We'll be ok

Ardley's heart hasn't been in it since the Notts brothers shafted him for Ian Burchnall. Just going through the paces now.

Stones fairly in control at HT. Looking decent but this possession based game has given Woking at least one great opportunity to level.

Not a dirty game either, but we’re not ending this game with 11 men.

Very good first half from us, Jamie Miley's pass and Alex Reid's finish for the first goal were top drawer. Looking very solid all over the park. Hopefully no daft second half.

We’ve looked really good, superb through ball and what a finish from Reid, happy to let them have the ball to a certain point then they stick it on them, so good to finally have a keeper who flies off his line to claim balls into the box.

Still plenty of time to ‘do a Pools’ and fluff this second half, hope not.

Great 3 points, Altrincham stepped it up in the second half and had all the attacking momentum but we kept them out comfortably for the most part, defence and keeper look so solid, 3 games 3 clean sheets.

    ****ing gerrin!

Off the mark, hard fought win that. Cody Johnson outstanding, the lad was everywhere.

Well that was dreadful from Carlisle a draw about right.

4-3-3 with 3 defensive midfielders at
Home to a midtable side……..poor forwards had to feed off odd scraps hoofed forward after 15,000 sideways passes.

solihull got what they deserved they looked a good bet for a win but once a goal up went mass defence and got punished.

just a big fear factor still around club at present and no cocky confidence you need to surge at the top

Great start so far. Hoping Benn isn’t out for too long and his injury isn’t serious.

Mate the defending was absolutely heroic, I've not seen us defend that well for years. Reiss NcNally is otherworldly levels of good. Topallaj and Kuogun also fantastic and Cartwright looks a proper keeper. Not a bad player in the team. Recruitment looks good so far. This is the kind of team who could do very well.

Still not won a game despite being 2-0 up at home tonight, what a load of crap Bradbury is currently serving up. Seems clueless. Painful.

It's why this division is such a bastard to get out of. The pressure on the ex League teams is so intense!

Cant argue with the result, your keeper and defence were superb, unlike our defence, young loan keeper and two loan CH's and it showed. Parky might regret benching our front line after saturday when we deserved a point,.. as when they came on we look so much better. Reid's shot went straight thro our keeper btw, 99% of the time that gets saved. Pools didnt create much whole game but we just couldnt find a way past. Its a work in progress for us at present with so many injuries and many new players, 4 debuts tonight alone,.. badly missing our CHs and keeper.

Well, last season eight points from 14 games, this season 9 from 3. We have had some kind fixtures and we have capitalised.

Thought we were much the better side tonight and only our slackness at the back allowed Woking a sniff.

Loved that having giving away a poor equaliser, we looked by far the most likely to score.

Heady stuff indeed. Nine points closer to survival and the coverted 20th spot.

Pretty much the perfect away performance for me, got our goals first half then sat on it and kept you at arms length second half.
