Tuesday February 13th National League Aldershot Town 0-5 AFC Fylde FC Halifax Town 2-1 Maidenhead United Oldham Athletic 2-1 Boreham Wood York City 0-1 Dorking Wanderers National League North Alfreton Town 1-0 South Shields Chorley 2-1 Spennymoor Town National League South Dartford 0-1 Chippenham Town
A few weeks ago i'd have seen Fylde at home as a comfortable win, but they seem to be the form team in the league so it'll be anything but. Huge 7 days for us, ideally need 7+ points to maintain a playoff challenge from the 3 home games
Fylde have been doing well but it’s the sort of game we simply have to win if we’re realistic about play-offs. Agree re your 7 points, I think if we can win tomorrow and then avoid defeat in the other two then we should be in a decent place. Huge night at the bottom too.
I'll happily take a point now honestly. Solihull won't be easy if we come away with anything it's a bonus.
FA Trophy draw has been made (should this be in the Tinpot thread?): Quarter Final Draw - To Be Played Saturday 9th March 2024 1. Gateshead FC v Peterborough Sports 2. Bromley FC v Barnet FC 3. Wealdstone FC/Hendon FC v Solihull Moors 4. Macclesfield FC v Bishop’s Stortford/Coalville Town Our 7th away draw in 9 in the last 2 seasons FA trophies & of course when we are apparently favourites we pull out the only team above us away from home! To think a lot of us were starting to dream of a Wembley trip (first time in 52 years) once again what with being favourites for the trophy as well as still clinging onto top 3 in the league.
I’d take a point but it’s not much use to us at the minute. We’re confident and playing well so I’m sure the lads will fancy taking all 3. Gutted I can’t make it. Will have to watch on the stick
Not tin-pot at all, really pi**ed off that we surrendered yet again . Would dearly love a Wembley trip; not optimistic about a playoff appearance , but you never know….
A fair few down here would settle for a point against Fylde, considering the form table. We’ve had 10 days off, so no “tiredness”excuses , but our persistent defensive frailties should make for a nervous game. No prediction from me, I’m a jinx…
Doesn't really work with new owners but I hope it makes you feel better. Concord and Wealdstone are two teams you can guarantee that will have massive fixture pile-up
