Not seen a thread for this. Newcastle have just taken the lead. Everton are really looking relegation material at the moment. Can't score, can't keep clean sheets.
Two pathetic moments from Beto are rather summing Everton up. A wildly spannered shot when in a good position breaking forward towards the box. And another awful cut back when played in down the left wing in a good position. Just seen a black and white Union Jack and St George's Cross in St James's Park. Utter woke nonsense.
Game of two halves, barcodes should have been out of sight but Everton were much better 2nd half and it became proper end to end stuff. Karma that a penalty cost the home side 2 points.
It just goes to show how weak the PL is when Everton have had 6 points docked and have gone 13 games without a win and they are still 4 points clear of the relegation zone. I bet they could get another small points deduction and still escape the drop with a game or two to go. They'll always look like relegation fodder but never actually go down. We've seen this scenario too many times since the nineties now to have any other opinion. It's like someone is constantly looking out for them.
Usually I reckon 38 points is safe, but this season the bottom is so poor it looks like 32/33 may be enough.
You know you are awful when DCL scores against you. Glad the penalty was given. Too many times a player is grabbing another as though they are in an American football match and nothing gets done about it.
