Would be funny and annoying if you loaned him to Auckland (my missus is from New Zealand so have followed the Phoenix for years as they were the only team they had) Paulsen is good, needs a lot of work still but for the fee he’s a great signing IMO.
Another one bites the dust. Arguably our worst ever signing, maybe the PL's too. People can bang on about trophies as much as they like, Ndombele's trophies don't reflect how much he has wasted his talent. Unbelievably gifted and yet has his contract terminated after a year on loan in Turkey.
Ndombele joins the likes of Adam Armstrong and Federico Macheda as players whose PL careers involve scoring random wonder goals against us and nothing more.
I wanted to add so much more but honestly, being associated with players as average as that is a fitting legacy for him.
Mental that wasn't he your record signing? He was hyped so much when he first broke through at Lyon what happened?
Honestly, I don't know. A combination of attitude and application would be the simplest answer. It'd be doing a disservice to them to compare Ndombele to any greats of the game but a player with that much ability realistically should have been moving upwards from Tottenham. Instead he's just played a bit part role in the Turkish league and is now without a club. We obviously don't know what things he might be dealing with outside of football but it's the biggest waste of talent I've ever seen. He could have hit whatever heights he wanted but seemingly doesn't want it. Naturally gifted footballer with the athleticism of a darts player.
Can play centre or left back. Interesting to see if this is Bayern's pivot away from Tah, who they were linked too last week.
Still after Tah. I'm interested here because I saw De Ligt get linked to a few clubs towards the back end of last season. It's a lazy link because of the manager but Manchester United could really do with De Ligt.
You would think De Ligt is someone Kompany would like stylistically but maybe he thinks that he's worth more to sell given he'd bring in a big chunk of money.
