I don't think it will between the clubs certainly, there'll be understanding about circumstances. There shouldn't be with fans either, however there will be from the painfully online quegs who plague social media.

Most normal people should be savvy enough to understand Glasner & Palace not being able to lose their captain & a player of such quality without having anyone to come in at a ready-made standard, in a season where they're in Europe for the first time. Similarly, that Liverpool likely had a ceiling they could really go to financially where they could carry three definite starting level centre backs for a season, after such a financial outlay already.

There'll be disappointment from every quarter for different reasons, but the conduct of the parties involved all round has been fine, and Guehi will no doubt be back putting in consistently excellent performances for Palace once he's back from England duty.

Just seen Rob Dorsett is a Forest fan @CPFC2010. Explains his totally bizarre comments about us missing out on Igor being our 'nightmare scenario' on Monday

He tried stirring it up again yesterday and is following Guehi around St George's Park today desperate for him to look glum.

I've always quite liked his England coverage but he's had a mare the last few days

Nah ,the fans will be fine ,obviously cant speak for the beauts on line ,but the match going lads will be sound. I've always admired Palace fans for the noise they create both home and away. Palace away is always a fixture I look forward to, just because you know the atmosphere will be electric.

I mean I don't relish the prospect of the game ,because you're one of those teams were you're never sure what kind of Palace team you're likely to face ,but the atmosphere is never a f*cking disappointment and it's no surprise it usually brings the best out of our away contingent as well.

Top fans and that's been more than recognized by Kopites.

Liverpool the club will probably have a black mark against dealing with Palace now. Especially with the leak that Parish was busy in a pilates glass in the final hours on deadline day.

I reckon a deal will be sorted out in Jan, gives you plenty of time to seek our replacements and still gives him the chance to potentially win a PL or even Champions league medal...which given his impeccable behaviour he deserves. We have enough CB coverage for now, with no injuries, but usually as your get nearer the halfway point the injuries will mount up.

We agreed a good fee. The end. Anything else is noise.

You had plenty of time, as was admitted by your own club but didn't get it done and just pulled the plug.

No problem but on parish not us.
Nah. It is what it is. We will always be willing to sell them someone at an inflated price.

That's not taking into account how our season's going though. If we're through to the latter stages of Europe and/or doing well in the league it'd be madness to sell him for a cut price.

Obviously if we're out and sitting in the bottom half we'd probably be open to it, but as long as Glasner's still here I can't see that.

If Palace's goal is to win the Conference League and a respectable domestic season then they've no incentive to accept a cut price deal (if still in Europe end of Jan). Parish has already lost out on 35 mill, clawing back maybe half of that at most isn't really in Palace's interests then. Liverpool aren't going to offer close to 35.

Maybe if we swapped Joe Gomez which i was surprised didn't happen anyway.

The player may as well wait a year and write his own cheque for his next club. Whatever personal terms we'd agreed now won't be anywhere near what they'll need to be then.

He's unlikely to get another crack at the Conference League though. Winning it with Palace this season might be his only opportunity to win it.

He can win the Premier League / Champions League any other year :D

Mark Guehi so furious he's contemplating relinquishing the Captains arm band is now trending ,don't know how true this is ,but it seems completely out of character for the lad ?

I mean there's no smoke without fire and all that lark ,but if there's a shred of truth in it ,then it completely belies Palace fans expectations of it having no effect on his time left at Palace ?

I wonder if he will hold his hands up to shredding Glasners collection of Celine Dion memorabilia ?

Massive fan of the diminutive Canadian chanteuse apparently ,who knew ?

I'd say that until guehi actually says something then it should be taken as noise.

Think that’s just the Ed Aaron’s article being talked about isn’t it? Blokes a bluffer on John Textors payroll.

TNT reporting on it and a few media outlets ,so it could possibly all derive from the same source as above ?

Based solely on his social media activity I reckon this might be Salah's last season at Liverpool.

I don't care how decent or honourable the bloke is what happened to him would've upset anyone even the best of humanity would've felt let down and a little bit deflated in same predicament and scenario anyone who thinks otherwise is being disingenuous. There's no point in him giving up the armband now imo he'll get his move soon enough but if he does I like to think the decent and level headed Palace fans would understand and not hold it against him.

Decent and level headed Palace fans? Have you read any of their posts on this forum?

I've never been anything other than decent and level headed in my posts. I'd challenge anyone to find evidence of anything otherwise. Palace fans on here on the other hand constantly blaming Nottingham Forest's owners for their own owner's mistakes points to their not very level headed nature.
