    The intensity / passion is just lacking when you don't have that genuine connection to a team. It's nice to have someone to root for to make the interest less neutral but I'm sure the Californian 49ers fans will be feeling that defeat much heavier than some bloke from Surrey.

    It's probably why college football is as popular as it is because a lot of people don't even have an NFL team in their own state.

    Bloody hell. Just watched the game in its entirety ( fast forwarded the half time bollocks) and to win with three seconds to go is crazy. Unbelievable pressure on the last play.

    Can someone explain to me why the chiefs weren't kicking to level with seconds to go? And the commentators were not mentioning there was any urgency to do so needed. They were just talking about some ot ruke change and how it was almost fine if they didn't equalise before time was up

    …my understanding is;

    Both teams get a possession each but also get to complete a possession each - so as the Chief’s were still in possession if the clock had expired they would have just started a fresh 15 minute OT period.

    She definitely goes up about 3 points without the glasses on…

    So if the 49ers had intercepted that final pass would the game have been over?

    Yes. It's either first to score touchdown wins, or if the team who has the ball 2nd can't tie the game after a FG.

    I don't believe so, if OT had ran out at that score then the 49ers win. Chiefs had their chance to possess the ball and didn't score in the time allotted.

    different rules for the post season.

    100% would have continued into a second period of OT if the Chiefs were still in possession

    …otherwise where was the urgency from them? if it was shit or bust they’d have taken the time out and kicked to guarantee the game continued.

    Saw that. Difficult to have any kind of reaction to shootings in America now to be honest, just indifferent towards them until they actually make an effort to stamp them out.
