It's interesting that as far as i can see, the bookies are simply not offering odds on Morecambe's match this Saturday. Maybe they'll add that fixture after tonight's matches, but what would fair prices be for an Altrincham win?
They’re gonna have to play no? They were given a three match reprieve to get their house in order, those three matches are up, time to draft Pugh Pugh and Barney McGrew and get playing.
No, I think they're playing. In fact if they're unable to put a team out, I'd imagine they'd face sanctions, but I'm really not sure exactly how many players they have or what happened to the contracts once the players hadn't been paid for a certain amount of time. Hell of a task for the new guy, but if the bookies have any sense they'll stay well clear.
Would love to know why we got a points deduction despite playing our games at the start but Morecambe haven't
Anyone who fancies some free money. 3 wins out of 3 Wealdstone are big underdogs at home to absolute turgid Carlisle on Saturday. 3/1 for the home win. Or if you think Carlisle may somehow escape with a draw, cover yourself by doubling your money with the double chance Wealdstone or Draw at 1/1.
You have to be kidding! I mean, anything can happen. Pumped up home crowd, lots of emotion, players playing for their spot with something to prove. But then the match will start. I was expecting something like 1/5 Altricham, 4/1 draw, 7/1 Morecambe.
I've done quite the range of bets. 3 correct scores. James Gale (Altrincham's lone striker up front) to score at least once, plus your basic Altrincham win. But the total of everything is less than £10, because it's such a weird unpredictable match. I do think an Altrincham win is by far the most likely outcome though. No disrespect to the Morecambe players or coaches. It's just the fitness and tactical circumstances.
