Why are Aston Villa buying players that just aren't good enough?

The players that we bought recently would be fit for recently promoted side trying to stave off relegation. Not going for European or cup run to build on experience and confidence for league purposes.

Its maybe more the fact that the top drawer players won't sign for them - whether its lack of ambition from the club or Ellis failing to find the funds.

They have shelled out a big amount on Angel but not followed it up with other big signings.

Where in the side would you concentrate on - it seems there are too many midfielders already and not enough good defenders to me.

Peter Crouch moved to Portsmouth from QPR with little fuss, he has a good goal scoring rate but is he good enough for Premiership status? Knowhere near.

Are latest striker was being tracked by Southampton, a smaller club than us. Our Nigerian midfeilder (Whats his name) wants to leave.

Bolton are going for Okacha, why not us?

Teams in Italy and Spain are in dire straits with money, they must have some bargains going, so they can cut there costs.

The mis handling of Ginola, Merson and Hendrie want to leave. Gareth Barry not given first team football.

Its lack of ambition, Arsenal have bought some squad players for what we could afford.

Its p*****g me off, its lack of ambition.

Well maybe something will happen over the summer - there is more need now that rum are back - how embarrassing if they finish above you!!

But a clearout is needed first and Taylor has said several are on their way hasn't he?

Stone, Wright.........Schmeichel and Ginola have gone anyway.

Heard any more about that new keeper yet?

do we have an nigerian midfielder?

ginola was shit full stop - did u ever see hikm paly he would make 1 good cross from thalf way line and not move for th4e rest of the match.

hendrie asked to be left out against man united! the biggest match of prem season for villa with a new manager just installed can u blame taylor for dropping him, especially with hitslberger playing so well?

and merson has been mostly injured under talyor so when else have we treated him badly? i suppose gregory dropped him for a while but thats football
