    Indeed, that was back when they only had two kits too, a home and away shirt and you'd only see the away shirt if there was a clash of colours. These days United will wear a 2nd or 3rd kit away at Spurs even though there's clearly no way to confuse the teams' normal colours.

    Yeah, annoys me. United play in red. Obviously they can't play in that away to Arsenal or Liverpool, but if there is no clash then they should be in their home kit.

    I assume they took a leaf put of Liverpool's book, as generally everyone liked the Liverbird on the strips, which started appearing in place of the badge, and a lot of people responded well to it.
