“We earned this opportunity and now it’s important to manage the squad properly, to give some minutes to the youngest players so they can learn from experiences, and for the others who have played many games so far, it will be an opportunity to find the rightbalance, to be in good shape and refresh when necessary.” Le Bris’ comments after Tuesday. Makes me feel a tad more hopeful for next Friday.
Looking forward to another playoff battle - I'm working in Bristol on the date of the scheduled away leg so I'm hoping Bristol City finish 6th
We're in the same boat as Coventry now. Our number one (who is a complete bag of shite anyway) is now out for the season, and we literally don't have a number two. We have a youth team keeper who is absolute dog shit as well and looks terrible (by all accounts) either in our 21s who will have to play I suppose. That'll end well.
76 - BRISTOL CITY MAX POINTS 75 - COVENTRY CITY MAX POINTS 74 - 73 - 73 points confirms a play-off spot 72 - WEST BROM, MILLWALL AND BORO MAX POINTS 71 - 70 - BRISTOL CITY PPG AFTER 46 69 - COVENTRY CITY PPG AFTER 46 68 - 67 - 66 - WEST BROM, MILLWALL AND BORO PPG AFTER 46 65 - 64 - BRISTOL CITY 63 - COVENTRY CITY 62 - 61 - 60 - WEST BROM, MIDDLESBROUGH AND MILLWALL I think - 70 points will do it. Coventry having to play West Brom and Boro is fun because, as long as the FA continue their approach of only letting one team win a game of football, there isn't a way that all 3 of those teams can gain their maximum points. I've no real idea what result in those games to hope for. If we end up in a situation where Cov and Boro only need a point to both get into the top 6 on the last day I will be upset. Millwall hopefully won't decide they're going to win all their last 4. Burnley on the last day their toughest test, but I'm hoping Blackburn fancy it and beat them after a couple of better results. Done well to get themselves back into it, would be incredible if they stormed in from here and you'd have to tip your hat off to them, but I just wonder if they lack a little bit of quality to stick this one out. Boro's remaining fixtures scare me. Plymouth's players all appear to suffer with some horrific travel sickness which is the only reasonable excuse for their terrible away record and Sheff Wed are dross at home. Norwich too are on the beach and haven't been very good all season. Not sure there's much excuse for not getting 9 points from those three games. If we win on Good Friday against Sunderland we are so so close. But, though they may be on the beach, they've a good side that will want to be in good form for the play-offs. All in all, over the Easter weekend, I'd like to see us pick up 4 points, and with Preston on the final day that *should* be enough barring anything spectacular from the teams below us. Please, none of you, do anything remotely spectacular.
Saw this on the BBC. Three injury blows for Coventry ? Victor Torp: Coventry City midfielder's season ended by injury
Might have been a false alarm re: O’Leary @JoshBCFC. Few others opposing those comments. Seems that Sykes’ season is done though.
Fingers crossed he's fit for Friday. Shame for Sykes, deserves to be a part of this side because he's been great this past couple months.
Thought O’Leary has often been excellent against us so surprised to see you’ve said he’s shite. You watch far more of him than I do of course.
He’s got an error a game (at least) in him, he’s cost us so much this season. If we had even a half decent Championship keeper we’d be closer to you lot than Boro and the chasing pack.
He's got an excellent game in him, pulls off a couple decent saves most games but has a tendency to spill shots into dangerous areas. His distribution isn't perfect either which leads to some tense moments, and (though perhaps less so this season than previous years) isn't the most comfortable dealing with crosses. Capable of pulling off the incredible but then leaves a tad to be desired when it comes to the basics. Think the idea was we'd develop our second-choice, Stefan Bajic, into being good enough to be on the verge of replacing him by now, but it just hasn't worked out.

If not for that cheating **** Tommy Conway we’d be all but confirmed in the playoffs. That goal yesterday means they sneak in I think, at our expense. We won’t get anything in the next two games.
