Thanks Trace At the moment she's spending time with her Mum back in France ,whether she returns I don't know. I've heard she's single now and she's not with that beaut who likes to pretend he's a gangster. Other than that ,I'm not @rsed where she decides to live kid ,I'm just grateful this has been brought to a conclusion.
Joining a 9am conference call for work about a voucher tool app that is checking customer eligibility but our Portuguese developer keeps saying we are checking if they are illegible Almost as funny as the test manager who kept telling me that his testes had failed
Remember that documentary about the guy who used to have to carry his around with a wheelbarrow ? Well when I sit on the couch now I'm two foot higher ......Just saying I've been patient like
I'm off to see the baby in an hour ,bought her some Summer dresses and she's very partial to milky bar buttons so got a few packs for her ,it's funny as f*ck when you pretend to open a pack and eat them and she gets a right paddy on
I got a call from an agency yesterday asking me about the job I'd applied for a while back. Wasn't expecting an interview at 08:30 in the morning but there I was, telling some random bloke my life story whilst trying to persuade him politely that I could do the job in question standing on my head. I'm not sure he appreciated it when I said that I'd interviewed dozens of people myself and if they mentioned that they could work as part of a team or as an individual that they would get an imaginary yellow card. I'm too old to be told by some kid how good or bad I am. Happy old git, Dublin
Baby ran to me with a smile as wide as the Pacific as soon as her Mum opened the door ,she obviously associates Grandad with endless fun ,either that or she's remembering my acrobatics when attempting to get through the window . As soon as she's had her needles her Mum is going back to work ,so the wife suggested picking a Nursery by us so we could drop her off and pick her up. So many reasons I love my wife ,but the fact she's sharp out of the blocks is definitely a contributing factor
Lump in throat moment yesterday. Basically my wife's son who has a 2 year old daughter said to his mum that I am the closest Freya has to a grand dad. He lost his dad to cancer so there isn't anyone there. She is funny as she is always asking after me when they do a video chat. Was so touched he said what he did.
It's taken 16 years, 7 units, a few silly failues on a couple of those units, but I have today passed my final module to earn my Level 4 Diploma in Insurance. That's it now - no more learning for me. I'm 40 years old, and the last one was so tough that I wasn't going to resit it if I failed.
I'm sure she see's you as her grandad. I was at my neices party recently, she just lost her grandmother quite suddenly (on her dads side not ours) and she doesnt show emotions very much, but my dad went to the bar with her for drinks and I saw her just rest her head on his shoulder, doesn't seem much but it said a lot.
