When you start the season with 9 fit players. You don't expect much from it. Happy we fought and made it go on for as long as it did. I expected us to be down by mid March. Quite impressive from Swansea too, as at Christmas we were bottom and they were 19th on the same points as us.

Can't see next season being great for us. Maguire, Robertson, Elmo, Clucas (potentially) and others going to leave. I also can't imagine Marco silver sticking around.

At least there are a lot more local games coming next season!

Been brilliant. Better than PVA so far for me.

Surprised how solid he is given he played the majority of his career as a winger.

If Souare makes a full recovery we're going to be overloaded with decent left-backs.

    I'm pleased mate.
Love Jeff even though there was lots of doubt.
His heart is huge.Very hard to find in many players nowadays.

Yeah works his nuts off and does the simple things well. Real team player. At 24 there's no reason he can't be our first choice left-back for another 5+ years.

Jeff has played most of his career as a left back but I feel he would be better on the wing

Has he? I always thought he was more of an attacking winger. Didn't he score 6 goals for Brentford on loan?

I think BFS sees PVA as more of a goal threat so if either are going to play on the wing it'll probably be him. Jeff's been quality at LB to be fair so that suits me.

he made his debut as a striker for us and scored a league cup hat trick on in that match, spent time with Brentford again, playing as a striker, when Sven was here we only had 1 left back, Paul Konchesky, so when he was injured Sven converted Jeff to left back that's where he has played the majority of his career, including for Ghana

Well it shows. He hasn't looked out of place at all.

    Cheers Sven.

the only reason we sold is is he was 3rd choice left wing and 3rd choice at left back so wasn't going to play, it's a shame as on his day he can be a match winner

Yeah you only have to look at yesterday's game to see how effective he can be going forward. Sprinted past half the Hull team and won a penalty in the 85th minute. I remember him doing similar against West Ham last season.

£12m (or whatever it was) seemed steep at the time, but if we can hang on to him for another 5+ years it'll look like a bargain. He fits our counter-attacking style perfectly.

he's probably the perfect wing back.
just a shame for him for the first time in years we produced someone with genuine potential to be special in his position in Ben Chilwell

Yeah Chilwell looks composed for a 20-year-old. Won't be long 'til he's in the England squad.

The only problem with Schlupp is we'll lose him (and Souare and Zaha) to the AFCON every couple of years.

Jeff's never played in an AFCON, he missed one few injury and was picked this year

I guess not getting regular football at Leicester probably hindered his international chances a bit. It'll be interesting to see how BFS uses him and PVA next season. Assuming we keep Townsend and Zaha on the wings then it'll be a straight battle between the two of them for LB.

Kinda reminds me of when The True Geordie shows clips from his past videos of his predictions, plays them again in in black and white slow motion and then goes "Well mother ****as!, I was right!". He did that most notably with Leicester Win Title.

So yes, I was right on both counts: Swansea's tally of points, Hull's May jinx continuing and Swansea winning their last three.

That don't convert me to a betting man however!.
