Ignoring the 'history', it's a fantastic ground. Good place to dump the wife to do some shopping while you go to the football. Be careful where you park (if you choose to drive) as it took us over an hour to get out last time I went.
Tough game with Bristol reeling and will be looking to get on the board. We've also got Mansfield midweek which you'd expect to be a tough high intensity game. I'd take a draw if offered now.
At that point where if we beat Swindon it will be classed as a great start to the season. 5 from 9, and unbeaten. Yet if we get beat its 2 from 9 and winless. I love how drastic people get at this stage of the season
I’m interested to see how much rotation there is on Tuesday, it’s a game where you’d want us to go as strong as possible but then there’s this game and a Tuesday game in the league the week after so you’d be risking overplaying a load of first teamers within the first month of the season. If it wasn’t Mansfield it would be more palatable to put a second string out. Like you I’d happily take a draw with Rovers now
Agree with this. Seen us lose our first four in this division before and get promoted. Seen us have excellent starts too many times and then end up in a relegation scrap by mid season. None of us have complete squads so these first two months are a crap shoot for now. As for us, really fancy us against Crawley. We owe them after the playoff final and we certainly want to be filling our boots against the godawful Harvey Davies. Hopefully target practice and a big big win for us.
This week's results are very difficult to predict. But I'm starting to trust Oldham, I might pick some players from them for my fantasy. Anyone a Shrewsbury fan? I'd love to know which striker you guys can score. I'm starting to feel sorry for the Barnet fans. I'm rooting for them to get a point in this match.
Barrow away for Notts. Two teams who've had poor starts, both wanting a win. I wouldn't put money on either team nor would I back against them. Absolutely no idea who we'll pick, if we'll stick to 352 or very minor adjustment from it or try something else if we do badly in the cup midweek. It feels very much up in the air for Notts at the moment.
That’s not correct for us as we beat Walsall at home in 92/93 and lost at home to them in 91/92 and 94/95.
Colchester at home. We can’t defend and we can’t score, we’re just completely crap all over the pitch. Only slim chance we’ll have of getting something is if Harrison is back from injury meaning we can drop poppadom hands in goal. Salop 0-4 Colchester
